Samurai Champloo also used to be my favorite anime. That was then the only other anime I had seen from beginning to end was the far inferior Afro Samurai.

It's still one of the better animes I've seen. Any of you who have seen my posts (or my avatar) tonight should know what my new favorite is. It hasn't quite had me running back to watch certain episodes again, but I'm sure I'll revisit it someday.

That being said, Mugen is my favorite character.

Hmm... space cowboys set to jazz, or samurai set to hip-hop?

Sorry, space cowboys always win in my book. But Samurai Champloo is still ****awesome.

^ I never thought that I would like space cowboys more than samurai, given my general interest in fiction based on East Asian feudalism (although I've generally been more into Wuxia than Chanbara), but I was taken by surprise when I followed up Samurai Champloo with Cowboy Bebop.

I really like it. Only a couple series are better, and not by overly much.

I definitely have a whole lot of love for Samurai Champloo. I could easily complain about the things that bothered me, though. Fuu often being one of them. I guess more than anything, I wanted just a little bit more depth of character for her, and it only comes out by the very end of the series.

Jin is incredible. Just thought I'd mention. :3
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

^ That I can definitely agree with. Especially the episode where... umm... Well, the overall story arc is pretty damn good.

^^GOOOOD I love that episode and I opened this topic just to mention it.

I seem to have an unhealthy fascination with zombies in general, actually...

The baseball one was the only episode I found to be sub-par.
