Fruits Basket

Post by Curtis Bonds » Sat Jun 26, 2004 11:51 pm

While attending Fanime Con, I stumbled across a screening, showing an anime called "Fruits Basket". I've heard a few things about this anime, but I've never watched it. So, I walked in and started watching a few episodes... and I fell in love with it. :D Has anyone else seen this show?

I've seen it, all the way through. It's a cute show. The humor is kind of like a watered-down Tenchi, while the character relationships are a bit deeper. When it's funny, though, it's REALLY funny. The rat guy's older brother is so damn hilarious I dare not speak of him beyond this sentence.

My sister reads the manga. I read the first chapter and it didn't really hold my interest. Too much of a "girly manga".

I have a few friends that like it. I heard it's good, but it doesn't seem like my kind of stuff.

OMG THERE IZS NO ACTIONZ.

Seriously, I've been meaning to check it out. I like how every character is associated with the chinese(japanses?) zodiac.

Heh... meaning to check it out...

A canadian saying he's meaning to check out anime is kinda like saying he's meaning to water down the sun...

I've watched all of it. ^^ It's one of my favourite animes, I guess. (YAY KYO)

I have a lot of guy friends that are just in love with this anime. Truth be told, there's not a lot of fighting, but there's a lot of comedy, a lot of touching stories, and you should be able to relate to most of the characters. ^^

From form to form, and nothing stands;
They melt like mist, the solid lands,
Like clouds they shape themselves and go.

So, I'm guessing now that the DVDs are a good buy. =P
