I've seen bits & pieces of the older ones, but the only full Godzilla movie I've seen is the terrible 90s Hollywood one.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I've seen parts of the old ones, but the only ones I've seen entirely are the American films Godzilla ('98), Godzilla ('14), and Godzilla: King of Monsters. I've also seen a bit of the new Godzilla vs King Kong.
I liked them well enough but the 90's movie was the most entertaining. Might not be good but it keeps your attention.

Hoo boy. When I was in junior high and high school I watched every Godzilla movie they had at the local Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and the anime/import shop. There were lots----------I couldn't name half of them now with a gun to my head. Favourites include 'Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle For Earth', 'Godzilla vs Destoroyah', 'Destroy All Monsters!', 'Godzilla 2000', 'GMK: Godzilla Mothra King Ghidorah--------Giant Monsters All-Out Attack!', and 'Godzilla: Final Wars'. Actually got to see those last three in-theatre. Haven't seen anything more recent.
Most of the Godzilla movies (heck, most of the kaiju flicks I've seen in general) were good clean fun. Of course there's certain movies I like better than others (I've never been a big fan of Mechagodzilla), but the only one I outright can't stand is the 1998 Hollywood one. It's bad.
I've heard 'Shin Godzilla' is dynamite. Must remember to investigate further.

Pffft. I wouldn't have to make fun of 1998 'Godzilla' if 1998 'Godzilla' weren't garbage.
I'm not the bad guy, here.

I think I've only seen the 1998 Godzilla. I went with my cousin the first day they opened a Tinsel Town in my area. Patrick Swayze cut the ribbon on the place. I don't much remember the movie.

Godzilla has always been one of my all time favorites. I remember watching my VHS copy of "Godzilla vs Gigan" almost every night for like three straight years when I was about eight years old. Back before I knew this movie was cobbled together from stock footage and was done about as cheaply as they possibly could(thought that just makes it more charming in some ways if you ask me). That 70's Japanese kitsch was absolutely compelling to me, and I suspect it has something to do with my current love of Japanese Jazz Fusion from around the same period.
Shin Godzilla also slapped like crazy. Seeing the guy who made 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' and the guy who brought 'Gamera' to life come together to do a Godzilla was pretty effing sweet.
