Putting a stock character outside his element.

^^^ OH NOES WHAT A FELONY I DID COMMIT

^^ Given that my memory is most likely worse off than yours, it's more than fine.

^ Now, don't start that again.

Memo to self: For future installments, do not work on a dirty desk, lest you end up with dirty spots as in the comic below.

So I heard Other M came out recently.

^^ Yes. Let's go with that.

^ Yeah, but I knew about pogs and huge slammers way before then (I even had a pog-making machine) but your slammer was certainly an inspiration.

Werd. Just curious, I couldn't remember if it was you I'd had that conversation with, actually. I think I certainly dented a few tables with that thing.

Don't blame Team Ninja. Blame Sakamoto and NoA.

A Shy Guy's lament.

^ Given that the character is pretty much a parody of fandom, it would be safe to assume such a misconception would the first thing that comes to mind for a lot of people.

You jumped over the 180 degree line.

Not that it's a bad thing in my book, but it might throw some people off.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what exactly you two are talking about, so I'm just gonna sit here feeling stupid and out of the loop now.

^Facetables = Vegetables with faces. They kill Wart. Who's a frog.

And I think Bomby's talking about how he went from behind the counter to in front of the counter for no seemingly apparent reason.

The 180 degree guideline is a concept in visual arts to create an uninterrupted flow between two perspectives. Imagine the pinpoint of the viewer's perspective, and imagine there's a line going between your two principal characters. Generally speaking, the line is not crossed, because the reversal of the characters can throw off the viewer for a second as they readjust to the new positioning of the characters in the room.

This isn't a rule so much as it is a guideline, and I actually quite like that last frame, so I don't have a problem with your line-crossing. Two of my favorite film directors (Yasujiro Ozu and Mikio Naruse) habitually cross the line between edits.

Crossing the 180 line is only a problem when the view lacks significant visual landmarks to reorient the viewer. In this comic, the stove provides that reorientation, so it works.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Right, like an Ozu 180 flip. My professors would still mark me down for something like that, though.
