Zelda Mafia Round 2 Night One (IMPORTANT, REPLACEMENT NEEDED!)

You keep admitting that you've judged me based on past evidence?? Yet, I was a good guy then and a good guy now, CL, and that makes you almost as suspicious as ML on my list.

I'm almost ready to vote. The only thing stopping me is I want Blake to give us a good reason NOT to if he can. I hate to kill a fellow townie but so far I'm thinking Blake is not a fellow townie.

Man damn this long post stuff. Damn the RPing stuff. Damn the "trying to catch you people during a lull" stuff. I have neither the time nor the patience right now. All of my points will now be ultra-condensed.

We have to hang on the first day. Might we lynch a Townie? Well, yes. I know it terrifies you guys, but Townies may end up hanging other townies.

I have three criteria for suspicion on day one:

1. Hiding. This usually comes in the form of ultra-short posts or playing the yes-man to a player more in the forefront. This is the easiest, most surefire way for the Mafia to survive. The same does not apply to Heroes: they are not trying to escape notice from the group, they are trying to blend in. (Mushi last game would be an exception)

2. Collusion. This doesn't mean agreement: it means agreement that doesn't readily make sense, which seems like it's coming from nowhere.

3. Generally suspicious behavior. This includes wildly pointing fingers, over-utilization of force of personality, and demanding evidence where it's impossible to produce some. And, oh yeah, trying to get people to abstain on the first day.

There are probably six people we have to watch out for in this game. I am ready to finger two of them.

FoS: Blake

Do not ask for hard evidence. You will get none.

Do not make an emotional appeal. You will not be reciprocated.

The people who continue to FoS Marilink even after his explanation are suspicious to me.

Anyone who makes an appeal that hinges on their personal character is suspicious to me.

Anyone who calls for an abstain is suspicious to me.

Anyone who attacks another player for FoSing them is suspicious to me.

Anyone who rarely posts is suspicious to me.

Anyone who does any or all of these things and then coincides with arousing a gut suspicion in the first place is someone I believe in hanging..

I'll play if needed, but it should really be as a last resort. I won't have much time to devote to the beast until the last nail's in this semester's coffin, and even then, the fast-paced nature of the game will require me to shelve my bog-standard 'post something barely coherent, then edit ten times to make it not suck' MO, and old habits die hard.

I'm probably making a mistake here, but I'm prioritizing Hottie over Blake for two reasons.

1. Hottie is just acting intensely defensive and suspicious.

2. Blake wants to abstain! Nobody can intentionally try to repeat what I did last turn with the same intent. Nobody is that dumb.

After reading HotD's Post, I'm getting suspicious of Marilink trying to accuse ZG and HotD. One should never accuse two people. Or maybe he should.

On one side, if he's right, and with ZG and HotD are Mafia. We could get that much closer to winning.

But, if He's wrong, and he's a Townie. Then, everyone gets angry at him for messing up, and it's 3-0 Mafia.

Just letting you know, if ZG or HotD die before the end of Day 2...I'll try to protect you.....

Now, I don't know about the rest of you... but Blake seemed quite calm and secure when faced with all this suspicion. In my book, he doesn't seem to act like a mafioso... then again, perhaps he just hides it well... but for now, I'll do this:

See the previous: there is no hard evidence to be presented. Demanding it is not only unreasonable, it's insane, a method of preventing any action whatsoever.

Although I have not dropped my suspicions towards Wyborn I know where he is coming from. The first few days last round ended with no lynches when the townies could have been making progress. I more then understand not wanting to make a wrong decision but indecision could also spell certain doom. With that said I REALLY should be headed to bed and HOPEFULLY I will not have to work over so much tommorow so I can check back on this topic before it sprouts another 15 or so pages. I'll go ahead and take some initiative though and get the ball rolling before I do go to bed.
