The LEGO Movie (Lord and Miller, 2014), 3-2-14 – 11.5/10
Hitchcock (Gervaski, 2012), 3-4-14 – 7.5/10
Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (Reiner, 1982), 3-16-14 – 8.5/10

Arthur (Gordon, 1981), 6-14-10 – 8.5/10
Red (Schwentke, 2010), 6-23-10 – 5.5/10

Though Bruce Willis gives it his all, and there are a few good laughs, Red just seems like a rather ordinary spy comedy. In fact, this is the third time I've seen it with my family, and they still had no memory of it to begin with.

Better than its reviews would lead one to believe. Toward the end narrative format of the film starts to feel like a gimmick that has been done better so many times, but it was still watchable.

Movies: 38/30

Tales of the Black Freighter (28 June) - 7/10
[Tried to watch Under the Hood with it, but the disc glitched out.]

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (29 June) - 6/10
A less cohesive movie than the first, but there are some REALLY funny scenes.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Kinda slow for its time, but still interesting to watch as far as visual style goes. Also, I've been told 1968's The Thomas Crown Affair borrows heavily from this movie's plot, so I'm going to see that next.

I can't think of the title Edge of Tomorrow without also thinking of the theme song to Saved By the Bell: The College Years. Apparently I'm not the only one.

Movies 9/30---

John Dies at the End - 02/13/2014 - 6/10
Aguirre, the Wrath of God - 02/13/2014 - 9/10
The Lego Movie - 03/03/2014 - 10/10
Sita Sings the Blues - 03/04/2014 - 10/10
Frozen - 03/27/2014 - 7/10
The Nut Job - 04/15/2014 - 2/10

The Lorax - 06/14/2014 - 0/10
Fritz the Cat - 07/03/2014 - 7/10

Man. Weird little film. Rather disjointed, but some of its individual aspects are really interesting, and it's a bit of a tribute to the writing that such unpleasant characters should be so relatable. Ehhhh.
