Good episode tonight. Liked the recursive 9th Wonders cover. (As a side note, who the hell is creating that, I thought Isaac only drew like one issue)

According to HeroesWiki, Isaac published 13 issues, with one issue never published. But the one that was about Hiro from last week's episode (I forgot to record this week's) was supposedly #16. I remember Isaac gave his sketchbook to somebody in Season 1, forget who, but maybe he had blueprints for future issues that were later published.

Volume 3 ended tonight. Summary:
Spoiler.
I thought it was pretty good. Knox and the Marine are dead, Meredith and Sylar are probably dead. Usutsu is either alive or Matt's seeing some form of visions. Ando has the power to multiply others' powers. Peter injected himself with the formula before destroying the rest, Mohinder was healed by the formula on the ground. Nathan outs the heroes to OBAMA IMPERSONATOR OSHI. I thought Micah and Monica were supposed to make appearances this episode, I guess not. I missed the last couple minutes of Nathan going to the president about people with powers.
Also, reading a fan theory on heroeswiki, I loled at the following:

Simone will return, alive, with the power of cloning, revealing that the Simone that died in Unexpected was actually one of her clones because she was warned of her upcoming death —possibly by Angela who saw it in a dream — and was captured by the government and used for testing, trying to use her blood to make soldiers clone themselves to make a massive army.

It was decent overall. I feel as if Heroes has a way of sloppily tying loose ends together as far as plot is concerned. Obviously better than Volume Two, but that doesn't say much. I'm skeptical of where the storyline will go from here, however.

Either way, Heroes did its job well enough: Keep me placated until Lost returns.

^^In those last few minutes...
Spoiler.
...Micah was seen in one of the files Nathan gave to the president. No sign of Monica, though.
Nathan's plan is basically to build a new Level 5, but try to lock up EVERYONE with powers, not just the criminals.

I'm glad they saved Hiro, but it's a shame they couldn't repower him, or at least give Ando a more independent power to reverse their dynamic. Coincidentally, that means Nathan's files are not up-to-date; he doesn't know Hiro was depowered, so Hiro will still be targeted by his little vengeance program.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I wish Ando didn't have powers, because that's part of what made his character (and, subsequently, the show) more interesting. Same goes for Suresh. It's usually a nice change of pace to focus on characters without powers to see how they get by with their wits and whatnot, but that has become increasingly non-existent in the show.

I agree that Ando shouldn't have powers, and that Hiro should've gotten his back. And I'm happy that Mohinder is no longer some lizard-bug-thing.

Right, but what I meant was that if Ando had gotten an independent power, then it would be like he & Hiro had switched places. Now, though, Hiro is depowered AND Ando needs another super around to use his ability; they're both at risk of becoming sidekicks, especially without anymore comics to give them the edge they used to have.

Don't forget, though, that during the eclipse, Bennett was the most dangerous man in the show. :)

On the bright side, Mohinder is probably depowered now.

Anyone else notice they're mixing time travel rules now? Over and over again, they've had the "nothing's set in stone, you can change the future" rules of time travel, but then all of a sudden Hiro tears the formula in half and you're supposed to accept that as the reason the formula was torn in half to begin with. It's a, "all the changes you make have already been made" set of time travel rules.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. The biggest problem with the show is that there isn't really a long-term vision that allows for compelling storylines. When the show first came on air, it was about this group of people who were suddenly endowed with powers and their struggle to maintain their normal lives (for the most part)...now it basically has a "what can YOU do" type vibe to it. It's annoying when there's dialogue like: "She can run fast. -Yeah, really fast. *runs* -Wow, she CAN run fast." O rly? It's not like we haven't seen Daphne doing that all season. My point is, the show is putting an increasingly annoying emphasis on the powers, and not the people that have them.

I highly doubt Syler is dead. As soon as someone removes that shard of glass from the back of his head, he'll heal up.

I was sad to see Elle get burnt to a toasty crisp.....she was hot, I was hoping for a scene with some side boob action like we got with Maya.

Hayden is pretty, Kristen is hot. There is a subtle difference. It also helped that Kristen had a certain attitude about her. Either way, yes, it is sad to see her go.

So...yeah.

Anybody else think Micah is the Rebel, or at least working with him?

It does make sense, Capt...perhaps TOO much sense. Then again, I thought Sylar's father was 'The hunter'...so who knows...

My first guess was that chick who was sending Ted IMs in the first season. She ended up becoming sort of "one with cyberspace" in the comics, though, and that might be a little too weird for the TV show.
