I'm very curious as to what Locke/Jacob meant by that. Also, I feel as if I'm in the minority when I say that I'm also very interested in how Michael is going to redeem himself, cause obviously the island still seems to have tabs on him.

Also...
Spoiler.
There are polar bears on the island omgwtfbbq they dont answer any questions :(

Your thread title gives me an idea: Why don't they just push the island back to civilization?

Now think about how stupid that idea is. Now think about the fact that the guy supposedly pulling all the strings until recently looks like someone shot him in the face with a staple gun. Now think about how there are no staple guns on the island, and he's been there a long time.
Now think about how little sense that made. Now think about people still thinking there's a biological monster when they clearly saw that it had a chain and emitted smoke when injured.

I'm just saying.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

They can't move the island back to civilization because the mechanism is supposedly too unpredictable.

Also, two weeks?

I'm surprised you didn't ask why there are polar bears on the island

The people who want to move it don't want to go back to civilization, hence the divide that occurred at the beginning of the season. That, I doubt that the island is going to be moved physically. Ben has looked so awful because he has been beaten up several times during the course of the show, the reason he's alive is because he has manipulated people well enough and he always has important information that requires him being alive. (That and he's a great actor)

Oh, and it's entirely possible that there's a staple gun on the island. I'm just saying.

Chunky, it's in 2 weeks because ABC needed to make room for the 2 hour Grey's Anatomy season finale.

...Wait, the island actually can move? I thought that was a joke.

Well, supposedly. I'm assuming that's why Widmore can't find it in the flash-forwards.

^
^ Well, we don't know what is meant by the word "move" as of yet. Like I already said, I don't the island most likely is not going to be physically moved.
Spoiler.
I forget the exact year, but in the episode The Constant, we see Widmore at an auction in which the journal of the Black Rock was being auctioned off, this is the same ship that crashed on the island...only thing is, at the auction it was said that it crashed in the 1700s if I'm not mistaken. I was extremely confused at first, but in light of recent plot developments I'm inclined to think that there is some sort of uber-time traveling going on here, and Ben probably had to have done this Orchid thing at least once before in the past...this could also be the reason Rousseau's team got "sick". Just my thoughts, though.

I'm actually handling the hiatus rather well. Plus, Heroes is coming back in September. Not put together as well, but it'll hold me over until January.

I'm really looking forward to it. Heroes is appeasing me during the wait, but it's no Lost.
