Blake is an overly verbose blabbermouth whose chief power (assuming he is Mafia) lies in his ability to misdirect people without actually saying anything.ZeldaGirl wrote:Wy, I didn't really see you address Blake's post. Do you care to?
I don't have time to respond to it tonight. I doubt I'll be able to at all.
Sorry about that, but that is how the cookie crumbles.

Keep in mind that's spoken from the perspective of him being mafia. I mean, if he is, that's genuinely how he works - by being an overly verbose blabbermouth. Not being harsh - just telling the truth.ZeldaGirl wrote:^^Whoa... that's kind of cruel. Not to mention I found several questions of his valid. But fine, whatever.
Nothing personal there, Blake, it's just the tactic I recognize here. It doesn't reflect on you as a guy, and the perspective I speak from is admittedly limited (we've only been on the same side once after all). I speak out of knowledge of your potential deviousness.
And Hottie: don't you understand drama, at all? Wait.

Huh-duh? That's exactly what I did last game. I wouldn't feel right saying it if it weren't true of me.ZeldaGirl wrote:You know, I could very easily say the same of you...

Rayman, Marilink, NintendoGod, one of you. Come on.
This isn't difficult or time-consuming.

Dramatic tension. I'm two votes away. I have a good line saved up.

Here goes. I'll remind you that I've had limited time to do really thorough reading, and I mainly want to contribute something right now, so if I miss something, I'll get to it tomorrow.
In response to Blake's dossier: I will admit that the time and effort you put into that made it well worth the wait. Your observations are very astute, but at least with regards to me, they're not quite on the money.
To understand the point I will make, you'll probably have to go back and re-read some of my posts (I wouldn't ask anyone to read all of them for the sake of time, but hey, if you're so inclined...). You can certainly interpret my line of reasoning the way Blake did. I will not argue that I haven't been going back and forth with Wyborn (not so much SK) about several issues. But when you read my thoughts, you will see that no matter whether I am conversing with somebody or beginning a line of discussion, I always give my personal opinions on the issue, and I never merely re-state someone else's (Please, don't be anal retentive and find ONE example of the latter point, as it certainly could have happened). You can read them for yourself, I'm confident that that's what you'll find.
So what? For starters, I certainly believe I demonstrate independent thought. I don't simply go along with somebody else's ideas. If I do come to agree with someone else's thinking, my posts invariably show that it is because of my own opinions regarding the whole issue. I am consciously playing this way because I believe that we can only make progress if we all actively contribute to the discussions.
Going back to Blake's interpretation: Yes, you could theorize that, collectively, Wyborn, SK, and I (or whoever you suspect of collusion) are all secretly coming up with what we think about an issue, decide who will make what arguments, and then come in here and act like independent bodies of thought to throw people off. I won't say that you can't think that. But I'll tell you right now that it is definitely less likely, and more importantly, it isn't true. I can't give you evidence from this topic to prove that, but I'll give you some facts:
-I have neither the time nor the energy to be that involved in this game, and I would have a hard time believing that any of you do.
-I am a collegiate rower. If you've ever met one of us, you probably know what I'm going to say. I'm training my kiester off every single day, I'm completely worn out when I get home, and after early morning practices on Saturday, I usually need a five hour nap just to keep myself going. I own a shirt that says "I can't: I have crew!"
-I am also currently preparing for final exams, which I am taking in Intensive Japanese, Music Theory, Physics, and American Economics. I have papers and lab reports to write in the mean time as well.
-If I were mafia, I am not clever enough to take the approach Blake has suggested Wyborn, SK and I have taken.
That's about all I can say in my defense.
Now one more issue:
If Wyborn really doesn't want to play anymore, I can fully understand. This is really taking a lot of time to actively follow. Normally, given Blake's arguments, voting for Wyborn would seem REALLY suspicious of me. But hey, he knows what he wants. So despite this being a potential red flag, I'll go ahead and do it.
Retract vote: Heroine of the Dragon
Vote: Wyborn
Wy, PLEASE don't be mafia. I'm a dead man if you are.
Goodbye for now.

Uh huh... you're right... just because I don't think you're Mafia, does not mean that I think you're doing the right thing for yourself or the game.
I could have forced the issue yesterday and gotten the votes you so desperately want against me... instead, I listened to a magic man and remembered how to smile.
So... you can say, I don't buy your reasons, still!!!! Wy, you will find that I think for myself... I don't follow unreasonable requests just to find out who will be affected, nor do I conform just to blend in so I won't be the next target... I'm sure it will cost me my position in the game early... unless I get lucky and find one of Link's fairies lying bottled in a dark corner!!!

Don't worry, Rayman. If I'm not? Hottie and Blake are the dead ones, I should think.
I leave you all with this: it is perfectly acceptable, even normal, to end the day early by abstaining en masse. I said otherwise to start to distance myself from my previous actions. It's not even unusual to just pick someone early on and lynch them for the Hell of it. You guys take this much more seriously than usual.
Remember we are only playing a game.
Hottie? Blake?
To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!
Vote: Wyborn
Doublepost:
And in the end, do not worry. It is okay to be wrong.

If you're so confident in your position, Miss Faerie, then why you are appealing to have people not vote for Wyborn? Weren't you the one who accused him of being Mafia earlier on in this game? Weren't you the one saying that Wyborn's fabrications and lies was reason enough to suspect that Wyborn was Mafia? I believe that was somewhere around Page 33, if I'm not mistaken.Heroine of the Dragon wrote:Um Yay? You could have kept your vote on me... after all, by your reasoning, "HotD could be a Townie at best if Wyborn was just plain wrong."
It's perfectly okay to vote off Townies and help the Mafia now, is it, TML?
But now, now you're asking people not to vote for Wyborn? I can certainly understand you not wanting to vote for someone, but I haven't yet figured out why you wouldn't want us to vote for someone that you've accused to be Mafia... This would be a contradiction, and it only furthers the FoS I have pointed at your brow.
But unfortunately, you cutting and pasting snippets of my post here and there, and so you missed the whole gambit that I'm following. You want people to show conclusive proof that you're evil. Well, I don't think any of us have it. But the way I see it is this:
(1) If Wy is Mafia or the Slasher, that's good for us, no?
(2) If Wy is a Townie, then I should trust him when he says that his death will point us in the correct direction.
Given that I really don't know who's who, if I had to vote, I'd have to say Wyborn isn't a bad target.
Unless you can provide a more conclusive reason why I shouldn't vote for him.
