Mistakes in NC
This topic is for us perfectionists to point out any mistakes around the NC site. Why? Mostly because it's fun, but partly to annoy Jay or whomever else worked on a particular thing that is pointed out to have a mistake. No offense, guys. It's all in good humor. Oh yeah, and try to limit the posts to a few mistakes each. Leave some for other people. Anyway, here we go.
-In almost every Dr. Donez close up that Dr. Donez triggered (meaning he said it) that came after NC/SSS part 1 (the original, not Mach 2), the Dr is capitalized so that the text reads DR. Donez. Why, you ask? Because in the original copy of the comic, Jay calls Dr. Donez "Donez." Dr. Donez corrects him and says "That's DR. Donez!" (emphasis on the Dr.) However, there was no close up. Somebody (I forget whom) pointed out that mistake, so Jay fixed it. The final version looks like this:
Since then, the picture you saw above has been used in nearly every close up. Prior to that, the close ups looked like this:
This is the first time that Dr. Donez triggered his own close up (Back when his text was dark purple). There are some times when this mistake was not made, even after the comix that started this mess up. One instance is the entire Donez VS Executrain match. That one had no mess ups. I don't think that CodieKitty has ever made this mistake. Lord Reid has made it a few times. Jay has made it the most. Okay, that was a long explanation. Somebody else post another one. I'll post more later.

That's not really a mistake so much as it is laziness. Jay (and apparently others) just use the same close-up picture repeatedly, instead of making a new one. Using the same one also helps conserve bandwidth by keeping only one copy of it on the site and continually going back to it rather than constantly reuploading it for every comic.

^ Actually, it's even worse. I'm lazy AND there are nearly a hundred "Dr. Donez!" frames throughout NC. Hehe. I should fix that someday.
Anyway, good eye, RF. I never noticed that before. So sometimes it's "DR. Donez!" and sometimes it's "Dr. Donez!" and sometimes it's something else all together.
The only two huge NC Errors that were brought to my attencion before were the famous "Blue Dots In Dr. Donez Closeup" and the more famous "Bald Bill At End of Bill and Fred." I've fixed both.
Also, for a while, in the Episode of Bill and Fred where Dr. Donez was introduced, the first time that Bill says his name it didn't trigger a close up. I've fixed that too.-jay

Although there are no more blue dots in Donez close ups, there are still blue dots in most of the normal sized Donezes. In fact, in NC/SSS Mach 2 part 5, the top dot is more of a turquoise color than blue (I enlarged the picture to see what color it really was. At a normal size, it looks like light green). I know that'd be a pain to fix because there are so many normal sized Donez's around the site. In case you ever feel like fixing it, you don't need to worry about Mario Busters. I don't think that the blue dots were ever in that series (although I only checked about 5 episodes of it).Originally posted by Duffman:

The blue dots are probably there in the comics I do. I just use the same picture, copy and paste, and rename it.
Another error:
- Although I scrapbooked and wrote down quotes for MB15 and thought I had everything all together, I TOTALLY left out an explanation to the "destroying all of video gaming" thing from the end. Stupid me...
Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

A mistake I've noticed ever since I first came to NC is a simple repetitive spelling error. When writing words like "course" and "offense," Jay(and others) spell it like "cource" and "offence." I guess some people like to spell it that way, but Microsoft Word says that way is wrong, so, bleh.
