Anybody else really excited over this portable incarnation of the delightful series?

(By the way...I still think the Japanese title of Animal Forest is way better...but that's just me)

I definately love how it'll take full advantage of the touch screen and stylus...just think about how much easier it'll be to write letters and design clothes and what not.

The stylus is the one improvement I'm looking forward to, drawing will be so much easier for clothes patterns...
Yeah.

Still don\'t care.

Is Animal Crossing DS the GameCube version transferred to Nintendo DS, or is it a different game?
Pie.

I'm pretty sure it's the same game.

Think Nintendo 64 game in graphics though. AC never really changes from one installment to the next, so it should be no surprise that there won't be a 'whole new' to the game.

I'm really curious to see whether this game will get me playing again. It's portable, I haven't played AC in ages, it's a new game...it's got a lot of things going for it though.

Plus, there's a 99% chance it'll be WiFI enabled, so we can all visit each-other's towns and trade stuff.

It's also worth mentioning that AC on the GC was only about 40MB big. DS cards can hold about 126MB. Think how cool it'd be if we got 3x items, songs, villiage patterns, etc.

Not a bad idea. We could use the chainsaw to kill animals and destroy their houses.

Actually, my mistake. Animal Crossing on the GC was only 16MB. So actually, you can fit almost 8x as much on a DS card.
