Final Fantasy 9

Look: Thhe last Final Fantasy for the PS1. It made it into the greatest hits category, and that was because square learned from the cons of the previous Final Fantasies (The Extreme Difficulty of FF8 and the extreme suckiness of Final Fantasy Legend)

Graphics: In the cutscenes, the graphics are really good. Sure the Characters are shorter and less realistic than in FF8 (I hear some people told square that FF8 wasn't as good as the rest because of the life size figures). The backrounds are very good too, just like the other 3D Final Fantasies. 10/10

Controls: You control Zidane with the Joystick, unlike FF7, where you have to use the PS1's D pad to move him. They take literally 10 seconds to catch onto. 10/10

Difficulty: Final Fantasy 9's probably the easiest of them all. Final Fantasy 9 has the weapons deal more damage and the monster's attacks deal less damage, and it gets even easier if you equip everyone with Auto Potion. One of the reasons FF9 is the easiest is probably because you have 4 party members. That means that you have 2 attackers (Zidane, Steiner, Freya, Amarant, Quina) 1 black Mage (Vivi) and 1 healer (Eiko and Dagger) Per party. It's a good game for beginners if you don't have FFMQ. 9/10

Music: Another remix of the original Final Fantasy battle music? Well this one is pretty good. The overworld is a nice calm one, and the boss music is very good too. 10/10

Lastability: 4 discs...This game may seem pretty long, especailly if you want to beat all the optional bosses and get all the hidden items, or get all the characters (Even Quina) at level 99. Still, if you have already played it through, it lasts about a few hours longer than FF7. 10/10

Storyline: I don't really know how to explain the storylines, since whenever I do, I usually spoil some of it, but I can say "SWEET" about the storyline. 10/10

Overall: This game is one of the best Final Fantasies ever, it deserves to be in the greatest hits section. 9/10

Best part: All the funny parts, A.K.A, some of the ATEs and when Zidane and Vivi were "bonding" and Eiko was over there taking notes. LOL!!
Worst part: How I beat Zorn and Thorn without taking even 1 damage.

If it takes some time to catch on to, why did you give control a 10/10?

-A Genius (Otherwise, well-done review.)

It takes 10 seconds to catch onto, so you can easily master the controls.
