^It's a nice idea, but I don't think it fits with SSB. The whole point of the series is to take your favorite character and duke it out on screen with your friends.

Pretty much everything I'd say has been said.
Here's an idea I recently had:
How about the different swordsmen (Ganondorf, Link, Marth, Roy, Young Link, etc.) with the option of taking out a sword and/or shield and putting it away, accompanied by different movesets for when the sword is out and and when it's not? Kind of like how Zelda can transform into Sheik and vice versa.

Here's an idea I came up with...
We could have Bowser Jr. Maybe some same moves as Bowser, and a few changed. Of course, he will have that hankerchief around his neck cause he would be able to change into Shadow Mario! Have movements and things be similar to him but..he would have to use his brush for most of the moves so it would be original. Yeah, that would be cool.
Oh yeah, lets not forget. Nintendo MUST redo Ganondorf. They really should give him his sword, that would be awesome. Then give him the ability to transform into Ganon. OH YEAH!

Characters:
-Boo
-Toad
The only thing stage wise is that I think they should make certain stages able to be partially destroyed and/or altered to spruce up gameplay.
And finally, I think that they should give characters different weapon sets or fighting style modes. For Example, Mario fights pretty balanced, but his moveset gets bland pretty fast. I think they should put in an option so that when you pick your character, you can choose between three styles which would change the characters move set, stats, and even costume.
Possible ones for Mario
-Normal Style: Normal moveset etc
-Plumber Style: Wields a wrench as a weapon and is slower but more poweful (different moves would have to be though up)
-Fire Style: His garb is white and orange and ALL his attacks are based on fire.
This option would add diversity to one character, so even if say you fight as link with the master sword and a hyrulian shield, you could face off against a link wielding a biggoron sword who's tougher but slower than you. Just a thought, though.

Why do alot of people want to see non-Nintendo characters in the next Super Smash Bros? Its not going to happen. They may make a new one. But who knows??? Unless its Nintendo characters V.S. a diffrent game company.
But if I want a character it should be Shadow Mario from Super Mario SunShine!!!

I like Fenix's idea quite muchly.
And an SSB game with non-Ninty characters isn't an SSB game, not only by classification but feeling. The whole point of SSB was to take popular Nintendo characters and group them into a fighting game. Wouldn't feel right with outsiders. Though I'd be able to stand Sonic and Tails in there. They seem oddly fitting. Bomberman and Mega Man aren't first party either, but they'd own. Too bad they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of making an appearance.
If another Mario character makes it into the game, I'm going to murder someone. Or find some way to hack it out of my game. Specifically, Waluigi. Retarded name, and absolutely no trademark moves.
And I think it'd be cool if every character had some sort of super move of great power or so, which could be unleashed throughout the battle depending on how you fought. Though, I'd tweak it so that characters raping everyone on the battlefield wouldn't be pulling them off left and right, to make it more even. Examples would be say, Mewtwo using Psychic, a move that hits all characters regardless of placement, and a fun little nasty move I thought for Mr Game & Watch- he splashes a large amount of oil over the area in front of him, creating a large puddle. Not only do characters slip and slide while walking on it, G&W's forward smash will ignite it in a large explosion, badly hurting anyone in contact with it, excluding himself.

Thats a cool idea, having a super move for each character.
Another thing I would like to see would be small vehicles that offer heavier firepower than your normal punches and kicks. They would decrease your mobility by a drastic amount, but would increase your damage ratio in addition to defending your character. Examples would be being able to hop in an r-wing on the Starfox stages, and having the ability to fly about the stage while firing lasers. Others would be mario karts, bumper-carish F-Zero cars, and even large pokemon. Of course, this idea would only work with larger, flatter stages so that you would be able to move about. This could also be made into a special melee even, having each character in a custom flying vehicle (samus would get her ship, Kirby a star, etc.) duking it out airborne style.
In the normal game the vehicles would probably last a short while though. And theres no chance it'll happen but it'd still be kinda cool.

AGREED. I DON'T WANT CLONES OF ONLY FIGHTING WIRE FRAMES, WHICH ARE ONLY CAPTAIN FALCON AND ZELDA.Originally posted by Fenix:
Create a character might not be that bad. I'm currently planning out a SSB game myself and I think I have a way to make custom characters not suck.
Remember the Fighting Polygons? Make them unlockable towards the end of the game (with crazy requirements). In one player mode, as you use them more, you can gain access to other characters' moves, which you can then "insert" into the polygon character. Additionally, you would be able to select from a pallet various physical components that the polygon would have (i.e. arms, legs, etc.). Like the moves list, this range of selection would also grow over time. Some of the moves available to the polygons would depend on what physical parts they have.
For example, ONLY if the polygon character was equipped with a sword by default, would they have the option to copy Link's spin attack. If the polygon’s body was like Kirby’s, they would have the option to copy his multiple jump ability. However, the selection of some parts and abilities would also close off others. Custom characters could not wield both a sword and a gun by default.
Each part of the body would affect its overall stats as well. Going back to Kirby’s body, if used, the polygon’s weight (and probably size too) would be drastically reduced. Their physical power would also downgrade as well. Since Kirby’s body and head are kinda the same thing, the polygon would not be able to choose a head piece. Instead, it could change to a hat piece of sorts… Polygon Kirby had a weird thing on his “head,” right?
I'm still debating on letting them be open for multiplayer mode though. But that aside, what do you think?
Oh, here are my ideas.
Stages
Bowser's Castle
Ganondorf's Castle
Lost Woods
Andross's home. You stand on a Giant Airwing, trying not to fall off. When you meet Andross, Try to avoid whatever he throws at you, or try to swallow you up.
Characters
Metal Sonic
Sonic
Espio
Vector
Tails
Knuckles
E-102 GAMMA
Amy
Rougue
Shadow
Cream
Charmy
Mighty
Chaos 0
Young Zelda
Toad
Wario
[NEVER USE THIS VILE NAME IN MY FORUM! -Hayfever]
Ridley
Poo
Jeff
Paulina
Pokey

EXACTLY!!! It wouldn't be right to have non-Nintendo characters in it. I would much rather see a Mario Vs. Sonic game (which I've thought alot about lately) than Sonic in SSB3.And an SSB game with non-Ninty characters isn't an SSB game, not only by classification but feeling. The whole point of SSB was to take popular Nintendo characters and group them into a fighting game. Wouldn't feel right with outsiders. Though I'd be able to stand Sonic and Tails in there. Why does everyone keep b****ing about there being too many Mario characters? OF COURSE they'll be more Mario charcters than anybody else because Mario is Nintendo's MASCOT FRACHISE, and it was what gave Nintendo's rise to power. It's the definitive game series for Nintendo, so they're inclined to have more Mario characters. If another Mario character makes it into the game, I'm going to murder someone.

Jeff (Guns and Bottle Rockets. Gun can also switch to Flamethrower mode)
Paula (Frying pan but could also use healing PSIs)
Metaknight (Sword)
Alex (Techniques)
Ryan (Techniques)
Crystal
Kid Icarus (Bows and can fly for a short period of time)
Isaac

Tingle.
Up B:
Balloon: Tingle floats on his little balloons.
B:
Homo-erotic dance: Tingle dances. All opponents are forced to jump to their deaths, even human players.
Forward B:
Map: Tingle hands the opponent a map, which mis-leads the opponent into thinking if they jump to their deaths, they'll get to 'No-Tingle-Town'. The player hit by this attack is forced to jump to his/her doom. (I dunno... o_O)
Down B:
'It's raining men' plays in the backround. No real purpose.
