Ristar was a Sega Character, but NOT a Sonic Character.

Not every game needs a sequel. Because if video game companies did nothing but back existing successful franchises, all of video gaming would be crap. They aren't be interested in making something good or memorable, unique or different. They just care about scraping up enough bucks to stay in business.
