Have you played 'Sid Meier's Pirates'? I mean the original computer game from way back in the day, though I'd be lying if I said goofy 'Live the Life' wasn't my jam for a while.

'Pirates' was a good sim. Higih production values-------------I still find myself whistling the "Marooned!/Shipwrecked!" music sometimes, mostly when I'm waiting at a lonely bus stop at six AM...

I was a big fan of the Impressions games, but mostly for the city builders. Didn't know about this game. I would think it would be like the Patrician or Port Royale games.

I would also second Pirates. It is pretty old, but I remember it being a fun game.

It was a fun game, and I learned some fun stuff. I sure wouldn't have heard about Piet Hein, the Dutch privateer, if I hadn't played 'Pirates'. Piet Hein was one of the real ones.
