Molina was wonderful, but Marvel/Sony need to not immediately remake Into The Spider-Verse.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

They could at least put Liv in a videogame or something.

It's Disney Investor Day, so they announced a whole ton of stuff....

DISNEY+
--WandaVision: new posters & a new trailer.
--Loki: first trailer.
--The Falcon & the Winter Soldier: trailer (I can't remember if this is the 1st or 2nd), & premiere date of 19 Mar 2021.
--What If?: full trailer.
--Ms. Marvel: first teaser.
--She-Hulk: Tim Roth will return as the Abomination, Ruffalo will return as Banner, & Tatiana Maslany is confirmed to star as Jen Walters despite her earlier claim not to have been cast.
--Secret Invasion: starring Nick Fury & Talos.
--Ironheart: starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams.
--Armor Wars: starring War Machine.
--I Am Groot: series of shorts starring Baby Groot (probably non-canon, or set back pre-Infinity War).
--The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special: 2022, directed by James Gunn, will film concurrently with GotG 3.

MOVIES
--Black Widow: still confirmed for a theatrical release on May 7th (we'll see if that becomes a hybrid release after Wonder Woman '84 comes out).
--Shang-Chi & the Legend of the 10 Rings: filming has completed, & the full principal cast is finally revealed.
--Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: will connect to Spidey 3, Rachel McAdams is returning despite earlier saying she wasn't, & Xochitl Gomez will play a (hopefully very young) America Chavez.
--Thor: Love & Thunder: Christian Bale is playing Gorr the God-Butcher, Jamie Alexander is returning as Sif, & the movie will release on 6 May 2022.
--Black Panther 2: now set to open on 8 July 2022; T'Challa will not be CGI'd or recast.
--Capt. Marvel 2: now set to open on 11 Nov 2022; Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan) & Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) will join Larson.
--Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania: yes, that's the subtitle. Both Ant-Men & both Wasps will return; Kathryn Newton will now play Cassie Lang, Jonathan Majors is confirmed to play Kang.
--Fantastic Four: Jon Watts will direct.

That's all the new stuff. They also reiterated some casting & release info we already knew.
With the 2022 release dates now officially full, it feels safe to presume GotG 3, Quantumania, & Blade will take the first three 2023 release dates, and we'll probably see Deadpool 3 & Fantastic Four in 2023-2024.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Oh damn, we're getting Gorr? That's an intense storyline. It's going to be interesting to see how they handle the tone of that movie, given the levity of the current Thor stuff. Great choice to cast Christian Bale too.

^Well, Ragnarok was a dark comedy. And the movie 50/50 taught us that cancer comedy can work, so Jane's stuff should be fine.

Some of my own thoughts:
--Like I said, Gomez is very young for Chavez. Hopefully all we see in Strange 2 is her origin story, where she's SUPPOSED to be that young.
--Kinda sucks to be Emma Fuhrmann right now.
--I really hope they tweak Riri's origin to remove that craptastic argument with her teacher.
--Secret Invasion is one of the few comics stories I genuinely never wanted to see on film, & I thought that making the Skrulls good guys meant it would never happen.
--The Guardians D+ stuff is all gonna be just fluff.
--Spidey 3 & Strange 2 are gonna be hella delicate balancing acts.
--I'm relieved T'Challa isn't being deepfaked or recast.
--There was no news for Eternals (which makes sense, as it's completely finished) or Moon Knight (which makes less sense, as they have a lead actor to confirm).

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

^^^Man. 'Ms. Marvel' looks dope.

Like, I had high hopes that Disney wouldn't louse it up after seeing them do Kamala Khan right in the silly 'Avengers' game this fall. The trailer for the show makes it look like a real passion project for the creators. Passion projects oft yield amazing results.

11 Nov - Captain Marvel 2 (theaters)
?? Dec - GotG Holiday Special (D+)
???? - Moon Knight (D+)
???? - She-Hulk (D+)

The 5-month content drought is over!
The first 2 episodes of the recap clip show Marvel Studios Legends dropped today, focusing on Wanda Maximoff & the Vision.
Not coincidentally, the first 2 episodes of WandaVision premiere exactly 1 week from today, after which the remaining 7 episodes will release weekly.

In production news:
Loki has completed principal photography.
Love & Thunder is currently filming in Sydney.
Untitled Spidey 3 & Ms. Marvel are currently filming in Atlanta.
Hawkeye is currently filming either in New York or in Atlanta.
Multiverse of Madness has had to pause filming in London as worsening covid conditions triggered a new lockdown.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Gosh it's so weird hearing you refer to Disney Plus as "D+" because I'm like "Wait, does that mean it's bad...?"

I hope WandaVision picks up the storytelling pace. I'm sure I'll like it better when they're emulating sitcoms for which I have some nostalgia, too.

We're about halfway through the season on WandaVision, & the plot is thickening like a good sauce. I've been enjoying the sitcom pastiches.
Tread carefully on YouTube, some jerk is leaking spoilers in video titles/thumbnails & getting them into lots of folks' recommendations.

Falcon & Winter Soldier premieres in 6.5 weeks.

News: Ryan Coogler is making a D+ series set in Wakanda, in addition to Black Panther 2.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

In the first real news we've had on Blade in a year & a half: They hired a writer.

In more important news: HOLY CARP DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED ON THE SHOW TODAY!?

The "Star" section of D+ is finally launching in Canada, Australia, & parts of Europe, giving many of you access to Agents of SHIELD and Cloak & Dagger for the first time. Enjoy! :)

Loki is officially premiering on June 11th, 3 weeks later than originally projected. This could be potentially tied to changes in the movie release schedule.

After Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, & Zendaya spent all day yesterday teasing us with fake title reveals, we finally have the real one...Spider-Man: No Way Home.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Sounds cool. I still need to see the end of Far From Home. It got a bit scary for my kid and we had to leave.

^The illusion sequences, I presume?

Apparently there was a big TV industry event today also, & Kevin Feige was there by remote from Atlanta to talk about the D+ shows. He confirmed:
--Hawkeye & Ms. Marvel are still filming, and She-Hulk & Moon Knight are almost ready to begin filming.
--For the time being, Deadpool 3 is the only MCU project that will be rated R (so Moon Knight & Blade are looking to be a bit less gory than people expect), but they're open to other projects crossing that line in the future.
--He's still aware of the big fanbases for the past shows & some of the rumors regarding those characters might be true.
--The movies will be written to make sense for people who don't have Disney+, even Multiverse of Madness which launches straight off of WandaVision.
--Second seasons of D+ shows are possible, depending on if the story allows for it.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
