When I was a kid, my mother always made me get a perm. I hated those things. They smelled, they were uncomfortable (both to get and to wear), and I loathed the way they looked. Thankfully, we found a hairstyle that looks good on me, so she can quit telling me "Why don't you get a perm?" when I need a haircut.

PS - That's a real sword, which makes the balloon Viking helmet all the funnier. And that's not my house, it's the shack where my computer that I'm typing this is kept.
