This review is pretty in-line with my feelings about the movie: http://www.slashfilm.com/the-last-jedi-defense/

Re: The Last Jedi
I was legitimately surprised at some things in this movie.
And I had to laug hat some of these "complaints" about Star Wars having "Forced diversity". Lol, you ever seen the cast? The only characters with names, personalities, and story arcs are... human. Star Wars is not just a galaxy of humans, dammit. All the non-humans are relegated to extras, being the exposition fairy, being comic relief*, or are just plain sitting there being completely unafraid of the whole galaxy-conquering threat that's supposedly out there.
*
Spoiler.

Spoiler.
I think I like the movie more now that I've let things stew for a bit. Maybe not the best in the franchise, but still a good flick.- I REALLY HATE POKEMON!

Re: The Last Jedi
Saw it today. I liked it, but I definitely agree that significant parts of the plot feel pointless.
Also, it was really weird for a movie that goes out of its way to tell characters they're bad at military strategy to itself be complete nonsense on that front:

Re: The Last Jedi
He was cooler in any given scene in the prequels than his entire presence in the original trilogy combined though. He caught a huge force-thrown object and hurled it back, did he do that in the original trilogy?Sim Kid wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2017 1:17 amFTFY.I REALLY HATE POKEMON! wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2017 10:59 am^^ Yoda is THE non-human main character. Re: The Last Jedi
What I really want is for Nien Nunb to become part of the main cast in IX. Make it happen, Abrams.
