^ I've heard that theory for Future Mai too, but considering she is physically pretty much exactly Trunks's age (especially in the main timeline when they both look like kids), and Trunks was a literal baby when the androids attacked..... Then when they wished for youth, if they did it before the android attacks they must have reverted to actual infants to age the way they apparently have.

Which I won't lie is a kind of great mental image, so headcanon accepted.

What kind of sucks is that I'm 99.9% sure Black can't be recruited into the group like Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Buu were because he looks like Goku. Like it seems to be an unwritten rule, I feel. Knowing Black will die or be sealed away or something kind of sucks. If I'm wrong that would be really neat.

Since Goku is pure and Black is pure evil, would they just become neutral? It'd be an interesting fusion from that perspective.

Yeah, but I mean from, like, a writer's point of view. Would you want two identical characters around permanently? I mean I guess it can work but I dunno. Maybe if being twins was a part of their character or something but not just "here's two gokus now." It'll be interesting to see how it is resolved anyway.

Maybe Black joining the heroes will start a new trend. The heroes will start traveling into parallel dimensions, meeting and befriending new Gokus, until the main cast is composed entirely of Gokus.

It'll be like in DBZ when all the non-Saiyans were pushed to the sidelines by new Saiyan characters. Only this time they'll all be Gokus.
