Any idea who you'd want to see direct it or which story you'd want to see?

^I hope you at least come closer to 'Conan the Barbarian' than 'Conan the Destroyer'. I can't think you wouldn't--------you know things about movies. Pacing and storytelling and all.
...I mean, unless you want to make a bad movie. Like...sh*t, man, use the Wilhelm Scream all you like, in that case. Get some jobber to make the score---------why seek out the modern equivalent of Basil Poledouris when you could just find someone to play 'dun-dun dunnh dun-dun dunnh' on an electric guitar ('300' was a money-maker, right?)

It was all right. Not one of my favourites. Pretty good adaptation of the comic, which was not one of my favourites. I liked it alright. Certainly didn't hate it. I mean, if you think it's one of the best movies ever made, hey, great. Personally, I think 'Hudson Hawk' is one of the greatest movies ever made. Pretty sure MetaCritic and Rottentomatoes (among many, many others) would side with you in that matchup.
...if you want to claim '300's music was better than that of 'Conan the Barbarian', though...I'm going to have to say you are objectively wrong. "Riders of Doom" is no joke, bro. The whole score is fantastic. '300' can't compete, there. (Incidentally, I'd say 'Hudson Hawk' has better music than '300', as well...)

Boy. You know, I was thinking about '300' at work last night, and I kind of have to take it back----------not a good movie. Pretty trite, actually. I remember rolling my eyes a lot, and also getting really bored towards the end.
Like, I guess it had high production values, but it sure wasn't no 'Conan the Barbarian'. I felt things in 'Conan'. It had practical effects and a rad score, and Arnold...you know, not a great actor, but here, he spoke maybe a hundred words in the whole movie, and he sounded like he meant every single one of them. Also the narrator didn't overstay his welcome---------gods below, but I got tired of hearing grizzled narrator guy waxing rhapsodic about Leonidas' bulging muscles and mighty mightiness and massive package at the end of '300'. Shut the hell up already, I see what's happening onscreen. That narrator was garbage.
Man. I hope new 'Conan' flick doesn't use that dang speed-up/slow-mo thing during the fight scenes. I find it distracting. It breaks immersion.
