Dragon's Lair movie?

#1

Don Bluth & Gary Goldman wanna adapt their hit 80s arcade game Dragon's Lair into a feature film. To that end, they're currently crowdfunding to make a teaser to help with their studio pitch. So that's a thing. :)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I wanted to be sure Don Bluth was involved in this, so I'm glad those were the first two words in your post.

Dragon's Lair isn't that far off from an actual movie anyway, so... Good luck with that.

Man, I heard Don Bluth had retired, and he's keen to make another movie, now? That's cool. He was a real talent.

...he made some bad movies towards the end of his career. Be nice for him to end on a higher note than 'Titan A. E.' and 'Bartok the Magnificent' and the like.

For a Don Bluth movie, 'Bartok the Magnificent' is underwhelming, yes. For a sequel to a Don Bluth movie, though, it's by far the best. ;)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

It's also the only sequel Bluth was personally involved with. Also:

'Bartok' is perfectly capable of sucking on its own merits, completely divorced from comparison to 'Anastasia', which was itself merely okay.

I'd love it if Bluth could pull out something to equal 'Secret of NIMH', or 'Robin Hood', to end his career on. That would be fantastic.

I recall watching Anastasia as a kid and remember it being a bit too girly, but I think it's good. Man, long time ago, barely remember it...saw it in theaters with my family. Good times...

I remember watching Anastasia as a kid and being traumatized by Rasputin turning into a skeleton and dying.
