Epic Cartoons/Shows/Animes from the Past.
Another epic topic buzzin' through my head is Exactly What it Says on The Tin. This thread is made for you to talk about those cartoons or TV shows you watched as a kid, teen or young adult. Stuff like Care Bears, Deal or No Deal... You get it, right? Let's see where we'll get with this...

Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, G Gundam, Death Note, and Bleach are probably the most notable anime for me (even though Bleach got cancelled for some reason and I hate including cancelled series in lists, dunno why).
As for kids shows, Pokemon, Spider-Man, Sonic, Ninja Turtles, and Power Rangers easily come up on top.

Oh man, Death Note is the best "non-combat" anime ever. So good. How far are you in Bleach?
Yu Yu Hakusho is like Inuyasha and Dragon Ball had a kid, which is a good thing. Put it on your list after Dragon Ball!
Card Captor Sakura is cool but I never watched a lot of it. Maybe I should. I tried reading the manga but the action looked like scribbles to me so I couldn't get far.

I'm still on the first arc in Bleach. We don't watch very often.
OOH I LIKE INUYASHA TOO but the manga aged so much better than the anime.
CCS is super adorable so if you're in the mood for super adorable + action, put it on your list.
Watched Sailor Moon a lot as a kid, too. And the first season of Digimon.

Early Bleach is the best anyway.
I didn't read the manga for Inuyasha (guess I should but is it different from the anime?) but I think the anime held up fine.
Did CCS finish or is it another cancelled anime? Can't bear to get into something just to have it cut off again...
Digimon was cool. Sailor Moon, while I don't like it myself, is basically the female DBZ, and I respect that. I remember my sister had the movie and there was a surprisingly awesome beam struggle at the end reminiscent of Goku VS Vegeta.
Ranma 1/2 is one of my favorite mamga, and a rare instance of me prefering manga to anime. The anime was just...off. Did you ever watch it?

I quite liked 'Sailor Moon', actually.
Liked 'Ranma 1/2', as well. Kind of got bored with it after the third season. Felt like the premise ran out of steam, and they kept going regardless. Sometimes shows don't know when to quit, you know?
Tell you one show I loved as a teen------'Upright Citizens Brigade'. Boy, that was back when Comedy Central made its own content instead of just buying others' leavings. Some of the sharpest, weirdest writing I've seen.

Do you recall which movie it was? There were 3 (and I suppose I could figure out which one it could be by googling it)
There was a 2-hour Disney block in the afternoon from 3-5... they had cartoons like Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Aladdin, Duck Tales and Gargoyles, to name a few. The Batman animated series was awesome. Digimon was great and I religiously watched it until I couldn't anymore. Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Captain N... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Power Rangers. The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (voiced by Urkel Jaleel White).
So many memories.

Early Bleach is all they have on Netflix haha. Same with Naruto. And both are the subs so yay!
The only real difference is that Kagome is slightly less annoying. But that's probably just because you don't hear her voice??
CCS finished. It's about 90 episodes. Also, watch the subs not the dub. The dub cut out a LOT of stuff.
I had one of the Sailor Moon movies! :3 The one with the crystal. I think that was Sailor Moon S.
Never watched or read Ranma 1/2. My favorite manga that I read was Maison Ikkoku. It's a romcom, so it's not for everyone, though. (though I will say that I typically don't like that genre but I really loved the story!! Also it was done by the same artist that did Inuyasha.)

I don't know which it was, but I think they were fighting in space, and it was a female villain, I think. If you know then I'm actually curious now.
Yeah, being a kid in the 90's and early 2000's was pretty cool. Shows today seem to objectively suck. My nephew was watching the new gay Spider-Man and I was like "why." Then we put on the old one and he still liked it but I could actually get into it as well. It was an excellent show.

Did it have to do with freezing the planet? If that's the case it's probably the S movie.

^ I looked up the ending to that, it seems like maybe that was it, but I guess I just remembered it differently. How odd. Could have swore it was a woman but then again that guy kinda looked like a woman, I suppose.
It's hard to find clips of Sailor Moon on Youtube, but I stumbled across a tribute video featuring an ice princess, I think it may have been her. Was there a final energy blast battle there? She made some kind of icy world and maybe I just remembered it as space. I don't even know anymore, haha. Literally the only thing I think I remember was the beam struggle but maybe it never happened.

bumps this thread a month later to ask, does it count if it started old and is still going?
because detective conan is, was, and forever will be, my shiz. i also like how all of the old cases involved pay phones and call boxes and borrowing restaurant phones to call the police, because cell phones weren't a thing yet.
