Wishing the X-Wing games that just appeared on Steam were a little cheaper so I could buy all of them. I'm playing a ton of Battlefront II just by coincidence, though, so I guess that counts.

Favorite character is kind of hard to choose, because although IV-VI are as close to objectively better as it gets, I love the design of I-III. General Grievous is amazing despite only barely being a character, for instance.

Although if we're allowed to choose from outside of the films, HK-47 wins an easy victory. Jolee Bindo and Kreia get honorable mentions.

Star...Wars?

Never heard of it.

[EDIT: Still May 3rd where we non-Aussies are. Evidently the rest of us are living a short time ago on a continent moderately far away...

My biggest familiarity with Star Wars is the Lego games

So, I can always give those another play. Mustaches were the best feature
I believe in second chances, and that's why I believe in you.

Favorite character from the OT would be that fat bastard Jabba. Favorite from the PT would be Count Dooku for being played by Christopher Lee.

Sexiest character overall is Ewan McGregor's Kenobi, narrowly beating out Slave Bikini Leia.

I never got the fascination with Leia. I guess she is attractive and I suppose the bondage theme may be up some alleys, and showing skin always gets attention but really, I find it all rather forgettable.

Is it too much of a cop-out to say Luke for favourite character? Luke is great. Barely see him at all in the prequels------just as a baby, seconds before dumb idiot Padme dies of...whatever, who cares. Luke, man. I love his arc. They establish him really well, and we get to see him grow and learn and all.

Favourite lightsabre battle is definitely the ESB one. I love the atmosphere, the dimness, the lack of music. You know, I acknowledge 'Duel of the Fates' is cool, but it kind of overwhelms the action. Sometimes less is more.

...Luke bites off way more than he can chew there, and somehow comes off even more of a cool guy than ever, choosing the fall over surrendering to Vader. Badass.

'What will I be doing for Star Wars Day?' Talking about Star Wars at VGF, apparently. Big change of pace, I know.

Also posting this. It's a May 4th tradition, dangit.

The Apprentice is my favorite. I got familiar with him through Soulcalibur and he is awesome.

^^ Luke might actually be an underrated choice for favorite character, actually. He's the main character but in my experience I've seen a lot more people gravitate towards Han or Vader.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

^I've visited a few SW message boards. Man, people will wax rhapsodic for hours on end about Boba Fett, or Wedge Antilles, Mara Jade...Talon Karrde and all, and, you know...like, whatever, personal preference and all, it's a non-issue, but Luke is literally the most important character, and also kind of the best one. He leads Darth Vader to redemption. That's something special. In a galaxy (both film and EU) replete with blue-lightsabre guys and red-lightsabre guys fighting endlessly, Luke manages to defeat one of the worst bad guys ever by turning him into a good guy. Huh.

My favorite character is Elan Sleazebaggano. He has so much depth and a true master in the art of selling death sticks to random strangers at bars.

^Wow. 'Sleazebaggano', huh.

Nice and subtle.

Kee-riminy. Just when I thought I couldn't give George Lucas any less credit.

...all right. Best possible scenario. Maybe George allowed some retarded three-eared intern to name stupid death-sticks guy, just to be nice.

It still sucks.

But then a phantom menace struck. George Lucas would periodically check in on the status of the games his company was making, lending creative input and advice. The developer I talked to sighs, and agitatedly says, “In one viewing of Fracture, [Lucas] said it looked really good, but he didn’t like [Mason Briggs’] name. We’re like, ‘What do you mean, George?’ He responded to the effect of, ‘It doesn’t really fit. When he jumps on stuff, he moves pretty fast. I like B.J. Dart.’
“So everybody’s like, ‘No, he’s gotta be f---ing with us.’ He’s absolutely not. So when something like that happened – in the middle of the campaign, mind you – we have to go back through that entire naming convention again… from scratch.” From that second session, Jet Brody was born. Coincidentally. Jett is the name of Lucas’ son.
A similar situation arose with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed’s protagonist, Starkiller. “[That name] was only supposed to be a nickname or call sign, not a proper name from the beginning,” a former LucasArts employee says. The development team hoped that Lucas would give Vader’s apprentice a Darth moniker, which at the time, was something that didn’t happen often.
“The team threw a Hail Mary to George, saying the game would have more credibility if the apprentice had a ‘Darth’ title,” a Force Unleashed team member says. Lucas agreed that this situation made sense for Sith royalty, and offered up two Darth titles for the team to choose from. “He threw out ‘Darth Icky’ and ‘Darth Insanius.’ There was a pregnant pause in the room after that. People waiting for George to say ‘just kidding,’ but it never comes, and he just moved on to another point.”

Now I'm genuinely curious about what Darth Icky would look like.
