A little help, please?

I have a research paper I have to do for college and my first draft is due Monday. It's on movies being banned from theaters or communities. The problem is I can't find any info on the topic. I'll keep looking, but in the meantime if any of you happen to know anything, could you link me to a source? Any help at all would be phenominal.

Hm...that sounds like a pretty general topic. Can it be about any movies that have been banned from theatres, for any reason? Basically, any kind of controvercial movie? Well, if you're looking for something recent, Moore's 9/11 movie has been in the news about being banned from some theatres. And if you want to go a little farther back, I believe Monty Python and the Life of Brian was banned by the Catholic Church.-jay

I only named two...heh...

Anyway, if you have three, then that should be enough for a paper. Start with a good introduction, stating your thesis. Have a body for each movie, and then have a conclusion. You can probably find enough on three movies to write a paper.

Any other help you need specifically?-jay

This should help a bit; click on the ones that say "Banned".

South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut was banned in Iraq for some unknown reason. ;)

[EDIT: Why can't I post a url with parenthises?]

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Ah. I was thinking Holy Grail, but I didn't post it. I don't think Holy Grail pissed off the church as much as the Life of Brian.-jay

Well, I know those 3 weren't shown in my town, which is why I picked them. Now to find some more info on why....

What about that one in the Da Vinci code that was banned from like every country in the world? I heard from my mother that that was true.
Video Gamerz Network boards will be back up shortly after a change of hosting. Thanks for not caring.

^The Last Temptation of Christ, you mean?

Yeah, Fahrenheit 9/11 was banned in my town because it's "ZOMG BUHS KUNTRY LOLO!!!11"

And yet it's still playing in Lincoln...

Last Temptation was only banned in Chile and South Africa, and Chile later un-banned it.
