Deadpool Test Footage Leaked

It's just a CGI-mockup, but it does have Ryan Reynolds's voiceover & licensed music & everything. And it's proof that some work has been done on the movie.
[It also has strong language at the beginning, so be ready for that.]

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

If nothing else this is nice confirmation that the movie is probably going to actually happen and not get stuck in development hell.

((Not that there was a lot of fear of that, but.))

There's actually been plenty of fear of that, with annual X-movies already scheduled for quite a while & Reynolds himself pretty much the only person consistently associated with this project.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

In news-that-isn't-news news:
Ryan Reynolds will play Deadpool. As if we that wasn't the one thing we actually knew for sure all along.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Why do they still want to force Fantastic Four? It's just boring. Do something else, like a good Spider-Man reboot.

Well, it's a decent franchise but they're bound to use it wrong. I never watched the first ones based on how bad the trailers were (and if I remember correctly, that awful Daredevil movie made me a lot more cautious).

Sony has Spider-Man rights, btw. Which is awkward as **** because he has a lot of crossover with the X-Men and he's actually been one of the Avengers awhile now. So has Wolverine.

^^It'd be pretty cool to get a single decent 'Punisher' movie one of these days. We're 0 for 3 so far, and the Punisher's comics have been more-or-less great these past ten years or so. Whereas I can't remember the last time the Fantastic Four was relevant. Maybe tangentially as a result of 'Venture Bros' making fun of it.

^Truth. They were pretty interesting in 1602, but that was over a decade ago, & they were still the LEAST interesting part of it.

The only Fantastic Four thing I've ever enjoyed was the not-very-well-named 'Fantastic Four vs X-Men' miniseries from...from whenever that was from. Like, they actually went out of their way to make the Fantastic Four interesting, like, give them personalities outside of 'hmmm, science!' 'flame on!' 'issclobberintime!' 'im a woman and also invisible!' et al. They made Mr. Fantastic and Johnny Idiot and Sue likeable for once, and the Thing...he had some, like, defining character moments in there. Great read. I totally recommend it, if you have half a chance.

Wasn't Copycat from when Deadpool was... just a ripoff of Deathstroke

There is also a red band trailer & a trailer for the trailer, but they say naughty words in them. ;)

basically they're taking the entire mature-themes of the Deadpool game released a couple years ago and making it movie format and exchanging the generic-yet-decent gameplay for even more one-liners and insults

that is okay with me

I like what I see. I'm down with the appearance of Colossus, too.
