I think it's pretty decent, although it's no Last Airbender. Book 2 was pretty dull and unimaginative compared to Book 1, though. 20s-ish era city and organised crime plus bender magic is a yes, they really jumped the shark when Book 2 could've dealt with the aftermath and had more to do with the riots and all.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

Book 2 was bad. Not terrible, but bad. It seemed like the writers lost their focus. But based on the Book 3 premier I have high hopes again.

Eh, I'm a little annoyed at how they're treating the best show they have their hands on, but the fact that they're going digital doesn't really affect me either way.
All I have to say about this season is that I love the villains this time around (especially after the horribly generic season 2 villain), and how they all use uncommon/unconventional methods of bending, makes them feel really alien and ominous.
I especially like Zaheer in particular. I love the fact that they managed to find a way to make one of the antagonists an airbender so they have all four elements, and to make him actually be like an airbender and not just a guy who can airbend (if that makes any sense). Also bonus points for being voiced by Henry Rollins.
I've only ever watched it online, actually. Not that I have access to Nick on conventional tv, nor would I want to watch it on their timeslot, I'm sure. There are definitely benefits to going online instead.
I hope tenzin isn't dead B (
Also Zahir is a **** power house and I didn't expect him to have as much trouble with Tenzin as he did really impressed by how awesome the fearsome foursome are being so far but also how competently the resistance has been handling it. I mean mook ass metal bending guards did stuff. Good job. Good job everyone.
So. That Finale? Holy ****.
This. This x100.
The Red Lotus may not have actually killed Korra, but they sure as hell seem to have killed her resolve. Holy hell, that final scene with the tear... If she had a smile the tone would have been totally different. But we got a frown instead.
Also, it's being noted in various places that Korra's greatest fear is the Avatar becoming useless, and what does Tenzin--her mentor--essentially tell her during the final scene? "Don't worry, the Air Nation's got this instead!" Wow.
so, like.
I haven't watched any of Korra since Book 1 because it was just so meh compared to TLA. The characters were all unlikeable and the love triangle was stupid and character development was absolute crap, plus the writing got really bad start of book 2.
But, holy ****, what I have seen of this finale looks incredible enough to maybe trudge through the grime to get to it?? Holy crap. Damn.

Book 3 really was spot-on. Book 4 has thrown me for a loop, but so far it's interesting even though the majority of it's people talking. The action in the previous season was some of the best animated action ever, flat out.
I checked the writers for Book 3 and I think there was a big changeup and they brought in more. I know there are at least 2 studios that handle the show now, which is something.
