In the end Sin is like a shadow. It feeds on us and uses us. We try to avoid it, saying we had no choice, but that is just Sin working on us.

Something like that.

Vash had no reason to assume that failure would mean death for the Gung Ho Guns until E.G. Mine told him explicitly. There is no reason to assume that every person who assaults him is a part of the Gung Ho Guns, since he is the most wanted criminal on the planet. There is no sufficient grounds for him to kill an assailant simply because there is the possibility that the person would be executed for failing to kill him.

Legato pulled the trigger to kill Wolfwood. To say that Wolfwood would've survived against Chapel and not be killed by Legato using Chapel's body is as speculative as saying that Wolfwood would've lost to Chapel had he not listened to Vash--in fact, there is more evidence pointing to the latter than the former, since Wolfwood was never able to best Chapel when he still had the muddled morality of his killer days.

I guess i'm weird, but after awhile Vash got on my nerves. I mean he really got on my nerves to the point of pissing me off.

First half of Trigun, his pascifism(sp?) was alright. It made things fun and funny. Except for the BDN episodes it worked well for the show...then came the Gung Ho Guns.

Thats where I started getting annoyed by Vash. His refusal to kill just began to get ridiculous. Here we had a group who would kill everyone in the path of them carrying out their orders. And they caused a major mess in the process. Vash began to do his best to defeat his opponents and not kill them. He did this for Domonique the Cyclops, Monev the Gale, E.G. Mine, Rai Dei the Blade, Midvalley the Hornfreak, and my fav. Caine the Longshot. Vash doesn't grasp the concept of who these people are working for and what it means for them to fail their job in killing Vash.

He ends up costing the lives of other people, his enemies who he tries to spare, and even his best friend. Vash did kill Wolfwood. He wasn't the one who pulled the trigger. But Wolfwood would have survived his fight with Chapel the Evergreen if he had stuck to his usual methods of fighting.(Unless Legato pulled the same freaky stuff he did in the manga where he animated the dead body of Midvalley)

Oh well.
I believe I stated this before, but you still have to admire him for following and preaching his ideology. Or something like that.

Oh just find the old post, it was more in-depth...

I really don't like Trigun. I saw the entire thing dubbed once and I completely hated it. Then I saw it again subbed and it was a bit better but, not much. Legato is cool though

*Burns Da Mage at the steak*

Trigun was a cool show. Vash is an awesome character on the whole. A perfect balance between a silly and funny side, with a serious fighter. (and *cough* part ditsy moron. But thats alright ;) )

But, what you do not realize is that I am the Darkness and as so I am eternal... :D
Nevermind, anyway, Trigun isn't very good I don't see why people like it so much. Vash is a hippy and the only cool characters are Legato and... I know there was another one give me sec. (scanning coolness factor) oh yes Knives. If I didn't want my eyes there are less painful ways to get rid of them such as gouging them out with a spoon.

Trigun is excellent in the first half. That can't be denied. 2nd half however....Rem just pissed me off. I mean really pissed me off. She crammed that live and let live crap into Vash to the point where he obsesses over it.

The little thing with the spiders and the butterflies was pretty damn funny. Knives in his own twisted way knew that both spiders and butterflies can't be saved. One needed to be sacrificed for the other to survive.

Same situation when Vash went up on the mountain to fight Legato when he brought in the mind controlled villagers with Millie and Meryl.

Interestingly, Legato was probably the worst character on the show. Knives, at least, was interesting, and had some element of depth to his character.

Granted, Legato wasn't a very deep character at all, but he was still cool.

What's this the first half of the series was the best? The best part was the second half. It didn't have big green mohawk man or florescent light gang. And Legato is awesome. (In the dub he sucks cause his woice sucks and doesn't fit his character.)

The real Trigun=awesome

The dub=****.

Now that that's outta the way, Trigun is awesome.
Legato's oookaayyy.... His character wasn't developed t all. He was just thrown in as the cliche 'dark bishonen' who is exists simply fufill the role of the 'cool' character.

Knives is awesome- He hates humans, but he has his reasons. Unlike Legato, who kills mindlessly. So Knives feels more like a character, not the 'villain'.

Legato was certainly intriguing as a character. His fascination with death and all.

But he was about as deep as a puddle of water on the highway. A puddle of very interesting water, but hey...

Dude, what are you talking about? I thought his english VA was perfect.

"Go ahead, kill me. I would gladly welcome this to be my time. After all, there's no reason for an egocentric, incomplete life like mine to go on any longer."

Come to think of it, I thought most of the english VA's were perfect. Milly got on my nerves, but that's expected.

All dub voice actors suck IMO.. Not alone, but slapped onto a character who already has a voice.. Eh..
Toshihiko Seki was amazing as Legato.
Subs all the way.
