Every time I think of that movie, I think of the big vampire's name and how it's pronounced something like Yowie Yahoo, which makes me think Mario should be heard cheering "YAHOO!" every time the vampire's name is mentioned.

Actually, I just did some research into Aboriginial folklore now. In their mythology, Yowies were really Sasquatch-like figures, while the real nocturnal blood-suckers were Yara-ma-yah-whos.

Yeah, it's pretty decent. I watched one with the god-son that was almost entirely an andy warhol send-up, featured a shoe-gaze noise rock group like you'd expect in a David Lynch film, and it's generally very self-deprecating. Also, I'm pretty certain the town name, Crystal Cove, is a reference to the creepypasta Candle Cove aside from also being named after a real place.

I'm gonna start putting a tiny bit of impressions after each film so that this thread doesn't just become me saying that I'm watching the next thing.

I love what the live action movies do with he characters, like exploring how they have become famous for all their mystery solving, or like how shaggy will say "it's just a costume" when encountering one of the monsters, it gives us a bit more realistic side to the characters which I quite enjoy. And as the previous live action movie(and most other scooby movies as well), it has a fantastic soundtrack. There were even plenty of moments where I literally lol'd, which is rare for me. I really don't understand all the hate this movie [and the first] gets. Most people would say other wise, but I really love what raja gosnell did with this movie.

from the scooby doo movies I've watched on this so far [this is the 11th], this is my new favorite(previously was reluctant werewolf).

And I finally got the c64 game to run, but it just takes me to the home screen then a second later it takes me to a timer. yeah I'm giving up on playing this one for now, I own mystery on snes so I'm gonna wait till I get home to play that. So now on to try and play Scooby Doo! Mystery of the Fun Park Phantom[DOUBLEPOST=1404250221,1404249563][/DOUBLEPOST]I got the c64 game to work, but none of the buttons did anything an there were no setting to change so yeah that's that

after seeing that there were 2 scooby doo games released on c64, I figured I didn't wanna miss so much so after a ton more of trying I finally got it to work

2 was forward, tab was back, ` was down, and 1 was up

worst flipping controls I've ever seen

also gonna try scooby and scrappy doo soon

Alright, I think I played enough of each of these. They are just simple little platformers where in scooby doo you play as scooby and in scooby and scrappy doo you play as scrappy. Both consisting on jumping over stuff and punching baddies as you encounter them.

I actually had quite some fun with them.

I enjoyed the latter one quite a lot more, but that's probably because it came out 6 years after the first one and they would do a lot more with it. I genuinely like the first live film. The casting is solid (I had never heard of Matthew Lillard before that film, & I thought he had been genetically engineered to play Shaggy), it's got a good self-aware sense of humor & lots of mythology gags, & the plot is actually decent. The second one, however, was almost unbearable.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I know, when I said that I meant enough for now, video games are different than movies or shows [for me] I'm gonna try each first because it takes me a long time to beat games, even if they are extremely short or even if I absolutely love them (ex still going through persona 4 golden a year and a half after getting it), then after I will slowly but surely go through them all. sorry I didn't specify

I agree with you about the first one completely

Loch ness monster was generally quite fantastic, it had quite an interesting story and it's always fun to meet more family of the main characters. It also didn't just abruptly end like most of the others which was really nice.

Now it's on to watching aloha scooby doo

I'm not sure whether I liked or loved aloha, the animimation was probably the best I had seen so far, the story wasn't bad at all. But there was just something about it, it was like the new dracula show, I wanted to love it but it was just missing something and I don't know what it is.

One of my favorite actors. He's in Hackers, SLC Punk, 13 ghosts and also in the original Scream, which was actually decent back when the original film was made as it sort of deconstructed the slasher film tropes. He's a weird guy, but he positively owns every role. He's also a lot like my best mate who passed away about a decade ago.

He and FPJr were a weirdly recycled casting decision from the Wingcommander film:
