everything scooby doo ever

#1

Post by Thanous » Tue Jun 24, 2014 1:42 am

I've decided to watch everything scooby doo ever in order of release for funImage , starting with the movies, then the shows(meaning I'm gonna watch the movies in order of release, and then the shows in order of release). And I'll throw the video games in there somewhere. I shall update this thread with my progress.

first up, Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood

^I never saw the end of Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood!

Funny story: I rented the videotape from Blockbuster when I was a kid, but the only copy they had had the ending cut off by somebody's recording of a cat food commercial or something.

I think I'll find the movie online and watch it again in remembrance of Casey Kasem, who passed away recently (God rest his soul :( ).

^ it's definitely a great one, and it has some very catchy songs in it too.

And yeah that's part of what made me want to do this, in remembrance of one of the greatest, rip Casey Kasem, you shall never be forgotten

Everything Scooby Doo? That's eleven television series, twelve telefilms and two theatrical films, totaling 150 hours of viewing material.

And at least half of it is pretty bad.

Yeah if you actually go through with this... more power to you, I guess. I can barely get through a few episodes for nostalgia's sake, let alone everything remotely related to it.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

4 theatrical films I believe? also don't forget the 21 direct to video films, as well as the few bonus episodes released with the new dvd collections and such.

it's now time for Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers

At its very, very best, 'Scooby-Doo' is barely passable. Don't do this to yourself, man. Choose life.

Tips:

--Spare yourself the pain of Scooby's relatives & avoid as much Scrappy-Doo & Scooby-Dum as you can.

--Only watch 1 episode of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo". That's all you need. As formulaic as the original show was, this version takes that up to 11.
Except for the one where Red Herring actually did it.
And the theme song isn't even any good.

--Throw in these two Robot Chicken sketches. (NSFW) They're voiced by the same actors from the live-action theatrical films!

--Also throw in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. (NSFW) You'll see why when you watch it. :)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I've actually seen all of a pup named Scooby doo from when I was a kid. And seen Jay and silent Bob strike back it's fantastic XD

I'll check out those robot chicken sketches when I get home

*Ugh,* That's so true, Cap'n. A Pup Named Scooby Doo was so formulaic.

This is about as much of a commitment as catching up to Detective Conan was. Power to you, sir.

[[[[ditto ML here, it will all be worth it once you get to Mystery Inc. hellll yeah]]]]
