I'm not sure what I think of the show itself, but man oh man if that isn't a rockin theme song.

All right, so I've watched a couple episodes.

I don't see your target demographic enjoying this as much as I do. A lot of the jokes are clearly designed for your teen-to-adult audience (whether by virtue of subject matter or refinement of pacing), and those that aren't have broad mass appeal. So, mostly for non-kids, innit. Probably safe to say this was deliberate.

Don't mistake me---I'm down, either way. Like, I'm always keen to watch good, clever things, regardless of author or intended recipient. I just wonder when Disney got cool again, is all.

So I only just saw 'Tourist Trapped' (i.e. pilot episode) recently. Like, in the past couple weeks, after I'd seen all the other eps thus far.

You know, I like it. Good episode. But I have to say, I'm really glad they stopped havin Dipper narrate thereafter. I mean, his narration works in the context of that one episode (establishes the premise quickly and efficiently, helping to ensure enough time for a proper series plot), but there were points when it felt a hair redundant---woulda got old fast if they'd continued it into the series proper.

Kind of a cool glimpse of what might have been.

Has there been any new GF news lately? I seem to recall hearing the next season wasn't starting until late this year at the earliest (possibly not even until 2015) (?) but who even knows.
