Well part of that song, it's for my final scene, it starts at 0:00-0:21, then it goes to 1:45-3:21, and it ends at 4:34-5:081-up Salesman wrote:Here.

Yes, and he’s using that song because his movie has a sad ending wherein the Bros. are sent home without any memories of the Mushroom Kingdom. It’s as though his movie were a romance novel for teenage girls.1-up Salesman wrote:Here.

And he didn’t start that post with something like, “If this does succeed,” which further demonstrates that he’s optimistic, which isn’t a bad thing, but maybe he’s a little too optimistic. You know, Cinderella stories don’t happen every day.
Also, I came up with a good counterpoint for ILJD’s argument about Rocky Balboa. That movie may have faced early criticism, but it got the reasonably good reception it did because, unlike you, the people who made the movie actually went to film school and knew how to write a movie, direct a movie, edit a movie, etc. You, ILJD, lack in experience, but that doesn’t mean you can’t work to gain experience. You can gain experience, but advertising your movie like it's a Twitter feed (you post ideas, people respond, repeat) isn't the best way.
The better thing to do would be to stop using every game-related forum you find on the Internet as practice for pitching your product, get back to your studies, and before you post your next post, THINK about how Mario fans might interpret it as controversial with regards to the official canon of the games.

Once again, you missed the point of 1-up Salesman's post. Well, either that, or you got the point of his post, and you're chosing not to respond to the point of his post, which is: YOU'RE USING A SAPPY SONG FOR A SAPPY ENDING TO A MARIO MOVIE!IloveJeffDunham wrote:Well part of that song, it's for my final scene, it starts at 0:00-0:21, then it goes to 1:45-3:21, and it ends at 4:34-5:08
In addition, being a writer doesn't always mean you get to choose the casting or the music. Once you sell the script, you have virtually no say in how everyone else interprets your artistic vision unless you yourself are the director. Heck, the director might even make changes to your script to suit his own vision!
Is directing a task you're willing to take up if you're as determined to have your way with your movie as your posts imply you are?

Before I posted the idea here, I did change the ending a little, Mario DOES remember the Mushroom Kingdom and the movie ends in a romantic flashback and that's where the song playsColonel KR wrote:Yes, and he’s using that song because his movie has a sad ending wherein the Bros. are sent home without any memories of the Mushroom Kingdom. Dude, you seriously need to play more Mario RPGs. Bowser is a funny character. The consensus among most fans is that he's more developed than any other Mario character. He's smart, he's funny, he's sassy, he talks like a dude, and he's even aware of how evil he is:IloveJeffDunham wrote:In the games I thought Bowser was so bland, so boring and so underdeveloped, that's why I'm making him more menacing and entertaining here
"I am just so dang evil!"
"What's a finale without a Bowser appearance? I'll tell ya what it is: it's a cruddy finale!"
"Dude! Awesome backdrop for a final battle!"
Your retake of Bowser may be entertaining to you, but most of us are happy with Bowser the purely funny guy.

The problem is: you're posting your ideas on every site you can find, and you remain blissfully unaware of the controversy you stir wherever you go. Have your previous threads taught you nothing?IloveJeffDunham wrote:I am not a troll I'm just posting my ideas, how is that a troll?
I mean, I tell you it's best to avoid Disney because they screwed up the first movie (specifically, it was Hollywood Pictures, a more adult-aimed division of Disney, but it's still basically Disney), and yet you are still convinced that they will like it. That really shows you haven't learned anything since we first met. I've learned a lot from you, but it's clear you've learned nothing from everyone else on the Web.

Hollywood Pictures is shut down now, I think Disney themselves can do a decent job with it, besides there's princesses in this movie

guys can you both stop bloody responding to eachother, seriously the conversation is constantly:
#1: MARIO MOVIE
#2: I KNOW YOU FROM OTHER SITES YOU'RE DUMB
#1: IM NOT AND MARIO MOVIE
#2: INSERT ARGUMENT WHEREBY I UNDERMINE YOUR MOVIE
#1: BUT I CHANGED THIS/DID THAT
repeat last two lines consistently.
i don't represent bomby, who is the moderator of this forum, nor do i represent the rest of the moderation team. But on a personal level i feel this consistant circle of conversation between ilovejeffdunham and colonel KR is really irritating.
colonel i understand you're not the biggest fan of this idea, there's no need to undermine him in every other post, I do not mean this in a punishing light, I just mean this whole topic *feels* like you both are dragging drama from other forums to this one, and I'm just asking nicely to try and lay off a little.
thanks.
