What TV Shows Do You Miss?

#1

Post by ThatDude100 » Wed Mar 06, 2013 7:59 pm

I'm sure all of us have several TV shows we wish would come the heck back because they were entertaining as crap!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a few that I always think of:

Malcolm in the Middle - This was one of the greatest shows i'd ever seen. This show was just awesome comedy. I don't remember once seeing a crappy episode. Each character was just the perfect fit for the show. Even the side characters were fun! I've been wanting to watch this show again for a long time, and guess what/>? It doesn't come on anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bucky O Hare - I don't know how the heck this show didn't become huge. It had everything that a guy would think is awesome at the time! Space, robots, fights, space animals, attitude, everything! Plus, it had one of the most epic intros in TV show history! Yeah, it might sound really stupid. A green space rabbit, a duck, a robot, a alien chick, and a dude are going to fight Toads.............yeeeeeeeeah. It was a great show though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duck Tales- Oh this needs no explanation!

The Wayans Bros. - Really? What the heck happened to this? Shawn and Marlon Wayans with their own show? The dad from Friday? How did this show get canceled!? It should still be on to this day! This was one of the greatest shows in history! How did this show get canceled!? Not even a final episode!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????? Just a, "OK, so that was the last one, bye". No conclusion? Nothing!? This show needs to come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better Off Ted: Good concept for a show; I just think TV isn't ready for that kind of humor.

Flight of the Conchords: they could've gone on, but Jemaine said that the writing was taking up too much of their time. Unfortunately, the New Zealand indie pop-and-folk comedy duo has gone AWOL ever since, except for when Bret won that Oscar (that was AWESOME!).

30 Rock: The Liz and Jack bits were funny; the Tracy and Jenna bits were a bit obscure for my tastes, except for, "You should never end a sentence in a preposition! At!"

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien: "CIRCLE! CIRCLE!! CIRCLE!!!"

Monk: If an obsessive-compulsive person really did write that show, it would've gone on for a nice, even ten seasons. :D

Chuck: I guess it kind of overstayed its welcome, but there are many changes I'd make to make the series last at least 100 episodes.

The Spectacular Spider-Man and the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes definitely deserved at least one more season to wrap everything up.

I would say Arrested Development, but that's getting some new episodes soon.

Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. While I feel that the show doesn't need to go on any longer than it did, I miss it mostly because of all the excitement and anticipation of each episode, and getting to discuss it with the rest of the fandom.

I have to say, regarding Malcom and 30 Rock, I think they ended just at the right time - they didn't delay their stay.

But Firefly needs to come back. It happened for Arrested Development...so I'm holding out hope! :D

Joanie Loves Chachi

But only because "Chachi" is Korean slang for penis (depending on how you romanize "자지"), therefore rendering the entire show downright hilarious.
Normally I'd romanize it as "jaji" though.
Firefly (of course)
NewsRadio
Outsourced
Homestar Runner
Mystery Science Theater 3000 (though the existence of RiffTrax and Cinematic Titanic help a lot)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Wish I could say I want 'Firefly' back, but, like, I've heard some really, really dumb things about Joss Whedon's plans for the series as it went on. Also 'Serenity' kind of left a bitter taste in my mouth. 'Hey, let's kill off two of the best characters and also turn the Reavers really lame for no raisin'---ish da,

I'd take more 'MXC' if anyone offered it. Man, I love that stuff.

Oh, yeah! I remember Outsourced! That was such a great show, certainly much better than that BORING movie it was based on.

I miss Firefly too, though I didn't watch it when it aired. The characters were just so perfect together!

I also miss House (found myself thinking about it this last Person of Interest episode) and LOST (I loved the characters and the mysteries, I wish there were a comparable replacement). Oh, and I wish Alphas had gotten renewed (I liked Heroes too), it was a semi-realistic take on super heroes.

This is the greatest and most truthful thing I have read.

Trust me, listening to Lisa has gotten more and more annoying season after season.

Another TV show I miss is The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. In a word, Sheen changed my life.

Speaking of which, I'm glad they gave Sheen his own show. I knew the people at Nickelodeon would eventually come to their senses.

Firefly
Pushing Daisies: I hate you, ABC.
Heroes: I still haven't seen the last season, but sad that it ended.
Alphas: I hate you, SyFy. Gary's all alone.
Awake: IS HE IN A DREAM OR NOT.
Flight of the Conchords: Funny guys. Not likely they'll return because they said their ideas won't be as good.
Community: It went off-hill this season.

TMNT, the first series. It had actual humor, and a lot of imagination instead of just overplayed tropes, which were the most important facets of the show.

Duck Tales would be great. Rescue Rangers as well. Darkwing Duck falls in with them, too. I think that covers it for the top-tier Disney shows.

And it would be nice if MTV could recover what it had in the early 90s, but that would require the whole music industry to stop sucking so much.

I wonder what the world would be like if they had never canceled El Tigre.
