It seemed a bit rushed, but otherwise it was pretty good.

I'm still not sure about Twicorn though.

I'm thinking it was a fairly bad ending for a sfairly disappointing season to me. The entirety of season 3 (Save for Babs Seed and Spike's pet care episode) felt like they took all of their episodes from fanfiction. And while I like fanservice from time to time, season 3 just felt overly saturated in it.

It feels like a series finale.

Like, it's probably safe to assume it isn't one, inasmuch as I've heard from several sources that a fourth season is in production and all, but it sure feels like one.

^That's also what I thought. It feels like season 3 included a lot of closure to things, which is also contributor to why I didn't enjoy the third season so much.

I liked S3. I'm a fan of closure (even imaginary closure like this).

Also, why can't we ever just use one thread?

This is definitely not an end to the series. Rainbow Dash isn't a Wonderbolt yet (just a student), the CMC don't have their cutie marks, and I'm sure there are endings for the other characters, too. There's also a lot potential for flashback episodes.

I don't know about the source of the movie (which I heard about but forgot about), but while I was looking for one, I found this: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/02/s ... nuity.html

^The post implies that the movie is going to revolve around a different iteration of MLP than FiM. No telling what it might entail.

I thought the episode...well...really could have been done better. Much better. It felt like they had a plot or an hour-long musical compressed into only one 20 minute episode.

What really bugged me was the fact that the voices sounded so radically different when they're singing. Hasbro, I know not all voice actors can also sing and sound nice, but please don't make an episode that's 70% music when the voices are so obviously different than the singing voices. So many characters just sounded...off.

The writers seemed to be a little TOO proud of the song(s) they wrote and pretty much cut out most of the plot so that they can put in as much song as possible. I mean, Twilight realizes what she did and fixes it within a matter of minutes. Uhm...I'm sorry what? At least the S2 finale had some time in between the songs and wasn't just "Our song is awesome! :D listen to it!"

I also thought it was kind of weird how everyone was completely okay with the fact that Twilight (and possibly Celestia) almost screwed up their lives. But hey, she fixed it, so okay, right? Well uhm...no apology? No "What the hell, Twilight and Celestia? You did this?" Who the heck does something like that and doesn't have to apologize? I'm pretty sure this last bit is a pet peeve of mine cause well, nobody ever apologizes out where I live and this is supposed to be a kids' show presenting idealistic morals.

MERGE'D INTO ONE BIG PONY S3 BONANZA THREAD <33

[[just for future reference, if the old pony thread hasn't hit the 25 limit and is still on the front page, it's fine to just bump it when a new episode comes out! I don't mind new threads for new seasons but keeping it no more than one per season makes it easier to keep a coherent dialogue going yknow]]

------MOVING ON--------

so idk why yall are hating because i loved the finale and thought it was adorable and great and the songs were good

it did feel a little bit rushed, might have benefited from being a 2-parter, but i loved it all the same

I actually quite liked the episode. Like, I think it's about as good as it could possibly be, considering they could easily have made a two-parter out of the material. As far as the whole Twicorn thing...well, I think this here sums it up pretty well.

So...how about them fanworks, eh? The conclusion to the .MOV/Ask Jappleack saga, the not-at-all-conclusion to 'Turnabout Storm', and new episodes of 'Friendship is Witchcraft' and 'Mentally Advanced'/'Rainbow Dash Presents' in the past few months. All pretty rad, if I'm any kind of judge...

I especially liked the new Friendship is Witchcraft episode. FriWi really put in a lot of effort with their "It'll Be Okay" song -- all new music, lyrics, and animation. That song was stuck in my head for a few days.

'It'll Be Okay' is so good. Kind of inevitable, I guess---I mean, considering how catchy some of the earlier music in the series was, you kind of expect it, but it never hurts to be pleasantly surprised...

I do love FIW, but something about the recent episode was forgettable to me. Maybe because it focused primarily on Twilight (who works better as a side character IMO).
