^ I watched Korra. It had a great setup and atmosphere, but was completely ruined by a stupid forced romantic triangle subplot. So in case you haven't seen it yet, just be warned of that fact. It's still enjoyable, but not up to par to TLA, imo~

Also, welcome to the forums! I'm the mod of this here subforum. Enjoy your stay :{)

also the last show i watched was FotNS because Loot

it was very manly

I watched a few eps of 'Phineas and Ferb' earlier.

You know, I like the show. It's fun, inventive and energetic. But it's got a major issue holding it back from greatness---Phineas and Ferb are sort of nonentities. Like, I've seen a fair bit of the show, and I think they're the least-developed characters in the whole thing. We never see them angry or super-hyped or sad about much of anything, so we don't really get a chance to learn what makes them tick. They're smart, imaginative and genial---that's pretty much all we know. I don't doubt this is a big part of why the show in general is so formulaic---the boys can't carry a scene on their own, so they have to cut away to Doof/Perry/Candace/Mom/Dad/whoevernot just for the sake of getting some personality onscreen.

It just seems like an absolute miscue. Like, I grant I'm no storyteller, but you rather need relatable characters in order to tell an engaging story, don't you? I ask you.

^^ I recommend that to anyone wanting to watch something old.

The most recent one I watched is the new episode of Shingeki no Kyojin.
The man who is blind, deaf, and silent lives in peace.

The movies and specials don't usually have this problem, as most of them involve some sort of emotional scene with the boys.

^I really love the opening to that series but interestingly enough I have never actually watched it

I like the style though so I probably should. Seems interesting. It's pretty short, isn't it?

as for me I've been watching Danny Phantom for reasons involving why the hell not

I am currently watching DBZ Kai. Friend of mine recommended it, since it is (supposed to be) more streamlined.

Finished Hero Tales today. It had its ups and downs, but I liked it. The opening song probably had the dumbest lyrics but it sounded good, so did the alternate opening.

It's hard to find good anime these for me...I haven't finished a series before this in a while. I like a very specific structure.
