This came out a few weeks ago, and it's been getting pretty solid reviews. Has anyone here seen it yet?

Saw it last week, it was pretty darn good, probably the best sci-fi movie I've seen all year, in my opinion. It reminded me a bit of 12 Monkeys and Terminator, and maybe even a bit of Akira. It has that retro-futuristic look, where technology has advanced and cities have grown, but everything else is more or less the same as today. The time travel part is actually pretty down-played, it's just kinda there to set the premise and they don't worry too much about how it works, its practicality, or all the paradoxes it brings up. Besides that, the story is pretty great and surprisingly makes sense. It's not all nonstop action and "hunt down my future-self" the whole time, either, there's a lot of moral themes and the movie does slow down at times to address them, it's definitely a thought-provoking movie.
So yeah, I liked it, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

So worth seeing. I'd gladly pay to watch it again, even (and I don't often feel any pressing need to see a movie repeatedly at the cinema). There were a lot of little touches which showed just how well thought out the movie is, even while certain time travel related problems remain unaddressed. Naturally, it's just a matter of putting aside one's overly logical mind and enjoying this movie for exactly what it is.
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

I just saw it today and loved it. At first I was like "Oh great, I LOVE post-apocalyptia..." but I was very glad that that theme did not really play a key role in the plot.
Honestly, it was a tad gruesome for my taste, but it was fantastically done.
almost puked when the Rainmaker ripped the guy apart though. holy crap.
