Do you do it?
What series have you watched the most?
What gives a series rewatch value?
What takes away any rewatch value a series might otherwise have?
And finally~~~~~
if you have a series from your childhood that you loved back then but haven't seen in a while, re-watch the first ten episodes or so, and post your opinions. It is very interesting going back to something you haven't experienced since before you really got the whole picture.
-------
personally [BIG SHOCKER ALERT] I am a huUUUUUUGE re-watcher. If a series was good enough for me to be obsessed with it the first time around, I guarantee I will watch it again. The only exceptions are the long-ass ones [One Piece and Detective Conan]; for those, I wait for new episodes to come out, and just re-watch a few select really good episodes or [maybe] arcs.
I just love re-experiencing things that I love. All of the love is had.
And I brought up the last one because I've recently been looking at anime and cartoons I saw when I was little.
Cardcaptor Sakura-- my favorite anime as a little girl. I recently saw it again and HOLY **** IT IS SO ****ING CUTE OMG IT'S GREAT IT'S GREAT IT'S SO GREAT YES A+
Foster's Home-- I actually didn't like this when it first aired, but I recently just re-watched a few episodes and I really enjoyed it. It's something I've added to my "watch a few episodes of this when you are bored" list.
My Little Pony [original series]-- holy crap is this show awful like wow just wow
Pretear-- a stereotypical magical girl anime whose opening I love that I really enjoyed when I was younger. Re-watched recently to find that it was so cliche and bad that I couldn't make it through like two episodes. [and before you get on my case about cliches and liking ToS, TOS ACTUALLY HAS A LOT OF AWESOME REDEEMING FEATURES OK]
more to add when later I watch!~

I've revisited some shows from my childhood. Some (e.g. 'Transformers', 'GI JOE', 'C.O.P.S.', 'Bravestarr') held up pretty well. Some did not (everything rad about 'Thundercats' is pretty much right there in the intro animation).
Of course, most of the cartoons I watched as a kid are roundly trounced by the cartoons I came to as a horrible old man. Like, nostalgia is all well and good, but 'Archer', 'Venture Bros', 'Samurai Jack', and 'Avatar' (among others) have sort of set the bar ridiculously high.
...'Batman TAS' is still awesome, though.

Batman TAS is awesome no matter how old you are, no exceptions. Or you are doing it wrong.

btw just re-watched a bit more Foster's, and greatly appreciated the LotR references in the "Duchess of Wails" episode. This show is so much better now that I actually GET the stuff in it x{D

I believe in second chances, and that's why I believe in you.
