The List to End All Lists: Sight & Sound Top 250

If not purely for the sake of contrast with the IMDb list HotD posted, the British Film Institute Sight and Sound has released their gigantic "greatest films of all time" poll. They do this every ten years. Getting votes from over 800 film critics from around the world, this is the first time since the very first poll that Citizen Kane has not been number one. My de facto favorite film, Chungking Express tied for 144th!

They also poll directors on their favorite films, though at this point, only the top ten have been released.

If I were allowed to participate, of the films in the critics' poll, only Tokyo Story would have definitely made my list (Citizen Kane is a maybe), but the directors' poll would add Taxi Driver and Apocalypse Now.

This list, I've only seen 23 entries of.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Is it kinda sad I have not seen more than 150 of those entries?

I'm happy to see My Neighbour Totoro on the list... but I have decided that I'm not a movie fanatic, having seen only 12 of the movies listed!! Worse, I haven't even heard of many of them... O_o :D
