Not sure how many people have heard of or know about this movie, but here's the trailer:

Movie better have an updated version of this scene or I'm out.

I'm pumped for the movie, but I dunno when I'm gonna go see it. Hopefully I'll get the chance before it leaves theaters.

Oh, this is a sequel!

They still have Adam West playing Batman, right?

Seeing it Thursday with a group of people. I'm psyched! I have good hopes, I just hope they're not crushed.

I thought it was awesome.
To me, this film was more frightening than any horror movie I've ever seen. I knew Batman would come in and save the day at the end, yeah, but it wasn't the plot that scared me so much...it was the feeling of crushing, incapacitating fear and chaos that Bane (well, Talia) orchestrated in Gotham. The situation was pretty extreme and implausible, but just seeing people's mental states decay and their will crumble like that made you personally feel helpless.

Either that, or I just get way too into things. Either way, the movie was very well done.
Holy crap. Holy crap.
Everything, almost everything was soooo well done. I'm really glad Tate turned out to be Talia, because I really hated her. Bruce got attached to her in, like, two hours. Bane was a great villain, I was legitimately freaking out about everything that was going on. John Blake was a great character, Bruce was amazing, Gordon was as fantastic as usual. I was a little sad about hearing about Gordon's divorce. Catwoman was actually really well done, I was worried that she would be unnecessary and drag the film down.

I was a little disappointed on the lack of Dick Grayson at the end, but John Blake's being named 'Robin' is very interesting. So I guess that means he'll become the new defender of Gotham, Robin?
^Or rather that in the wake of
him & everyone else thinking Bruce Wayne is dead, he'll become the new Batman, just like Dick Grayson did. Trust me, after Batman's advice earlier, there's no way he's gonna use his real name as a cape. Nightwing, maybe, but probably just keep up the mantle of the Batman, either way definitely not "Robin."

Interestingly, this makes a liar out of Nolan, who said he was never going to use Robin. :)

^That's why I think the whole "Robin" thing was really more of a joke, than anything. Robin has always been the character who gives Batman hope, and who keeps him from losing himself to darkness--and that's the role that Blake filled in this movie. He may not have been wearing a cape and mask, but he filled the role of the Robin.

So I agree with you, I also think that if anything he would become the successing Batman.
Great film IMO. I only shared one real complaint with Doug Walker (AKA: The Nostalgia Critic (Who says he actually didn't like the movie )) that the movie felt a little less like Batman than the other films. That said, I don't agree with him on disliking the film. I LOVED this film. Bane was great, Bruce, Gordon, and really pretty much every lead character was interesting, the film felt more real I guess I could say, I really got into it, the acting was great, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman was pretty terrific (and now happens to be my favorite version of this character), it has one of the best endings I've seen in movies (though to be fair I haven't really seen terribly many movies with an ending that was really great) and heck, even the sound was great. I'm not sure I'd say I liked it more than TDK, but Given another watch, I may be convinced that it is better. Either way, this movie did convince me that a movie trilogy really can start out strong, get better, and then end fantastically better than it started.

this movie was super great, although I think heath ledger in the previous movie edges it out as TOP BATMAN MOVIE, ALL YEARS. Bane and his echo chamber voice owned.

^I, too, thought Bane's voice was awesome. I've heard some hate for it, but I don't know why. People just like not liking things.
Robin was cool; I think it pretty obviously was Tim Drake inspired and not Dick Grayson, though.
^
In background & name-rhyme, yes, but it's Grayson who becomes the next Batman when Bruce is presumed dead in the comics. Blake is a blend of the two.
Saw it earlier in the week. Thought it was pretty good. Rewatched the first two yesterday. Now I'm not sure how I feel about it. My first impression of it when I saw it was that it was good, but not nearly as good as The Dark Knight. I am going to have to rewatch it again, but I really can't shake this feeling that for as good as it was, it was still a little disappointing.
