Keor's curse

#1

Post by [sage] » Thu Aug 05, 2004 11:55 pm

Name: Keor
Age: 17
Sex: Male
Lvl: 1
XP: 0

Stats:
HP: 10
MP: 20
PA: 2
MA: 0
S: 3
Will: 10

Space Spells:
Memorium-- Teleports Keor to any place he can remember. 5mp
Continuum-- Changes distance from where Keor is standing to a chosen point, as long as he can see it. Can make the distance longer or shorter. 6mp
Embassy-- Keor gains a mental map of the building he is currently in. He can silently teleport to any room in the building, even if he has not been there. 4mp
Conclusion-- Keor teleports above an enemy, attacks, then teleports behind the enemy and attacks. 3mp
Dismissal-- Keor teleports one enemy or item to anywhere within five miles. 4mp
Beckoning-- Keor teleports one enemy or item from anywhere within five miles to directly in front of him. 4mp
Illusion Spells:
Distortion-- Makes a distance appear shorter or longer than it is, but doesn't actually alter it. 1mp per 10 minutes.
Ruse-- Makes a copy of Keor appear wherever he wants it to. It can do whatever he wants, but will disappear if struck. 2mp
Chameleon-- Turns Keor invisible. 1mp per half an hour. Canceled if he attacks.

-------

It's an ordinary day, you're living with your family. You wake up, to the sound of voices. You listen, yet, no one is speaking aloud. You can hear inside your head.

Hello, Keor, my chosen one. Do not be alarmed You are a bearer of my power and will. I have given you great powers. You have been granted the power to control space and distance, as well as being able to trick others with some illusions. Beware however, too much use of these powers will become a burden, your mind will grow weak and you will become insane from the warping of reality. These powers will remain yours forever, if you help me escape from my prison. Do you accept this task?

As he asks that, you feel a great will, a feeling compelling you to answer.

1) Accept
2) Resist and decline

-------

Curse: Insanity (if overused, may drive Keor insane due to his continuous warping of reality)

Some things to take note of for future reference.

MP does not stop at 0. You can go as low as you want. However the more mp you spend, the more the curse affects you. 0 is merely the starting point of the curse.

Will: This being has given you power, but it can use its will through you. Will Power is your ability to resist its demands. There are ways to recover will power, but none you know of. Whether or not you choose to resist it is up to you.

Spell casting below 0 is an act of will, since the curse is weakening your body, it takes will power to use your magic, and that also limits your power to resist his will, assuming you wish to do so.

The game, while your stories may sound similar at first will go in different directions, depending on the early choices you make.

Good. Good. Keor, there is a man within the city of Bethla. His name is Dirk. Find him, and you'll find the first step towards unsealing my power. I can only speak for limited amounts of times, so I will communicate with you after you speak with him. It's up to you to find Bethla. Your powers should get you there without many problems though.

After that is silence. What next?

I'll go ask around as to where Bethla is. Say, at a tavern, for starters.

You enter the tavern. You sit down at the bar.

"What would you like?" the barkeeper asks.

Hmm? Alright. It's not too far. Just a half a day's walk over grasslands to the north. Now if you're not gonna order a drink, i've got customers I need to serve.

You can see what you assume is Bethla. Wanna use Continuum?

You cast continuum (14mp)

You arrive at Bethla. The city is a walled city, with four towers on the edge. It almost looks like a castle, but inside, it's just a busy trade city. A very large one in fact. The city is a huge tourist spot, since you can find pretty much anything you'd need there. Whether you can afford it is a completely different matter. The main residents of the city are those that own a buisness and their family. Most of the rest is tourists.

You walk up to the gate guards. One of them stops you and asks "Are you entering as a Tourist, Buisness Owner or Returning Citizen?"

Tourist. (I usually make trouble when asked things by... people... but I'll lay off this time.)

"Alright." He opens the gate. You enter the city. You can see all sorts of shops, inns, taverns, travelling merchants. Where do you want to go to?
