Sebille: I say we steal the plans. Seems like the most useful thing we can do...
Culeios: Works for me.
Laefelir: Great. Their flagship should be obvious, just sneak down to the coast and try to get aboard somehow. Here's 500 gold for each of you, I'll give you 1000 more each if you return with the plans.
Culeios: Thanks!

Head to the shore? (You could also break from Story Mode and do other stuff).

Sebille and Culeios entered the spellmaker's house.

Spellmaker: Hello there. Either of you want a spell made?
Culeios: Yeah, how's that work?
Spellmaker: It's simple. You tell me the effects and, if applicable, magnitude of the spell, and I make it for you. You then pay based on how difficult the spell is to cast.
Sebille: Magnitude meaning...
Spellmaker: Say... how much of something you want to do. A powerful spell has a high magnitude, a weaker spell has a low one. You can just tell me whether you want a powerful spell, a medium spell, a weak spell, or pretty much anything. And the effects. Hm... so what school do you two study?
Sebille: Summoning.
Culeios: Charms.
Spellmaker: Alright, good. That means, of course, you can only make spells in your school. For the elf here, it's easy-- anything that relates to charms or illusions will work. For the fairy, it's a little different-- you can either say what you want to summon and let me decide the effect; say what the effect should be, and let me beside what best to summon; or you can say the effect and the summon. As long as it's appropriate, I'll make the spell and sell it to you.
Sebille: Okay, makes sense.
Spellmaker: So, what'll it be?
Culeios: I'm thinking about it... you come up with something, I should make up my mind by then.

So, what'll it be?

How about...
Stafy- Medium Magnitude Water/physical attack, makes target Dizzy(Accuracy Down)

I'll see how much it costs (gold and MP wise) then decide if I want another move or not.

Spellmaker: Be right back.

The spellmaker went into his house. He returned in a few minutes.

Spellmaker: Got it. It'll cost you 200 gold. Want to buy it?

The standard conversion is 5 gold per 1 MP, so that means 40 MP.

Sebille: I'll take it.

After the payment was transferred, the spellmaker presented a scroll with magical runes inscribed on it. Sebille took it and read it. She felt new knowledge in her mind-- how to cast the new spell. It had just the effects she'd wanted.

Sebille: Thanks.
Culeios: Okay, I've got it. A spell that's like Amnesia, but works for a group of people. I'll call it Amnesia Field.
Spellmaker: Sure. Magnitude?
Culeios: What would that be for this?
Spellmaker: I suppose whether you want it to have a chance to succeed or work 100% of the time, and also how many people you want.
Culeios: Wouldn't be much good if some people forgot and others didn't, I'll say 100%. Low magnitude for people though.
Spellmaker: Got it, be right back.

He entered the house again, spent a few more minutes inside, and returned, scroll in hand.

Spellmaker: 200 gold.
Culeios: Ack... alright, here.
Spellmaker: Anything else, you two?
Culeios: I'm done. Sebille, want anything else?

I'm good. I'll go to the shop and then buy a Preserver, a Rod, and a Mana Crystal.

Alright. Culeios bought fire arrows, a mana crystal, and two vials of fairy oil while the two were there.

Now what? (stats have been updating.)

Sebille: Let's go to the shore so we can sneak on that ship.
Culeios: Sounds good, but... there's a few different ways to go. Could take the path that your sentry point was on and just come out or we could try going through the forest itself, on the ground or possibly through the trees, me jumping and you flying. What do you think would be best?

a) Path
b) Forest on ground
c) Forest in trees
d) Something else

Sebille: I guess going through in the trees.
Culeios: Sure. I'll just find a good starting point and head off. You can follow.
Sebille: Got it.

Culeios selected a choice limb, hopped onto it, and scurried off with the grace only an elf in the forest can present.

When the sounds of the battle on the shore had been drawing nearer for some time, a branch gave way under Culeios's agile feet. He attempted to grab a nearby tree, but failed to do so. Sebille, noticing the elf's plight, dove in an attempt to rescue him, but failed as well. It was a long way down; however, leaves and branches somewhat slowed his fall, and he managed to roll and avoid serious injury when he hit the ground.

Culeios: Ow... dammit. That hurt.
Sebille: Ack, sorry about missing you.
Culeios: It's okay. Wanna give it another shot? I guess I'm up for it, but I'd have to climb all that way, which might be kinda risky, and then the rest of the journey to shore.
Sebille: I guess we'll go...

1) Back up
2) On the ground

Sebille: ...on the ground. No point risking further injury.
Culeios: Alright, can't say I'm disappointed. That was a close one.
Sebille: Let's go.

As they neared the shore, the sounds of fighting got continuously louder. When they reached the break in the treeline as the fertile soil became sand, they witnessed together what Sebille had seen floating above the forest canopy; a huge battle between the Beintoan fleets and the elven and fey defenders. Now, however, the first ship had moored, and corsairs were vaulting acrobatically off their vessel and hitting the sand at a run, backed up by arrow fire. The first wave was repulsed, but more seemed eminent.

Culeios: Well, let's go. See the flagship?
Sebille: I think so... yeah, it's pretty far back. That huge one there, see it?
Culeios: Yeah... I think so. Any bright ideas for boarding it?
Sebille: Uh...

Got any bright ideas?

Well... we could try taking over one of the smaller ships and rowing back to it, but it'd be pretty obvious to the people on the ship. I can't really think of a stealthy approach to it.

Culeios: I dunno, you mean like commandeer one of their rowboats that have already unloaded and row back to the flagship? Maybe, but... they'd notice an elf and a fairy, don't you think?

Well... If we either find someone who can make illusions or learn something like that we should be able to sneak past them, maybe.
