Stray observation: A both-sides-are-wrong fight like Tarrlok vs. Amon with everybody else caught in the crossfire really emphasizes the Avatar's task of bringing balance, as well as differentiating Korra's mission from Aang's & Roku's.

Holy...****...that episode 9. Yakone and Tarrlok are some seriously creepy dudes. Those eyes man. Gonna be seeing those in my nightmares.

Ok, FINALLY caught up. Ready to take on the finale tomorrow.

She's been my favorite this entire time just because by default she had to be because she's Toph's daughter and Toph was my favorite, but she's also just so great and awesome and I love her always have

omg

When you think about it her metalbending was probably the best thing she had to remember her mom by and the fact that it's gone now means a whole lot more than just a big part of her identity as a bender being taken away.

Also in unrelated conspiracy news, I'm thinking the reason Amon was able to walk through bloodbending is connected to the reason Aang in the Avatar State was equally unaffected in that flashback. Especially since he can take away bending, too. Aang's avatar state powers seem to be the same as Amon's powers.... but I dunno what that means.
