(you guys are gonna hate me for making this on the Role-Playing forum, but..)

Well, it's been a while sence I created a topic, so basically, the first idea on my mind was to make a card game. (AKA Please don't burn me at the stake for this forum game :p )

UPDATE: Rules on Elements, Decks, and Card-Burning, Members list added

Rules:

Starting the Game
Each player builds a deck of 10 cards: 5 combanents, and 5 spells. They will PM thier card selections to me before the match.

How to win:
Each Player has 3 Heart-Points, or HP. To win, a player must defeat every combatent the opponent plays and hit the opponent directly 3 times to win.

Battle Rules:
At the start, each player, along w/ thier 5 cards, tells me what cards are played face-down. at the beginning, both combatents attack at the same time. The one w/ the most HP wins, and it's controller goes 1st. both cards are placed back into the player's hands.

on each player's 1st turns, they cannot attack each other. Each player can only play 1 Combatant Card and 1 Spell Card onto the field each turn. When you attack, state who attacks and what the target is. during this time, the target's owner can activate a Spell to affect the opponent's card.

Successful attack:
P1: P1's Bomb attacks P2's Goomba.
P2: I take the attack.
C134: Goomba takes 20 Fire Damage and is destroyed.

Spell/Effect Activation:
P1: P1's Bomb attacks P2's Goomba.
P2: WRONG! I activate "Protect Armor"! Goomba is blocked from Bomb's attack!
C134: P2 reviels Protect Armor. Bomb's attack is negated.

When your opponent has no monsters, and you have more than 1 monster, you can attack an opponent's HP directly. Each monster can only attack once.

Card Layout:
When I give you a card, I will present stats like this:

Ozymandias-HOL-N/E-10/30

Meaning... (name)-(element)-(effect, I will PM a monster's effect to you if you wish)-(AP/HP)

Name: The monster's name. DUH!
Element: The creature's elemental power. I will describe this later)
Effect: MOST Combatents have special abilities to affect gameplay
AP: attack power. this is subtracted from enemy HP for damage
HP: total amount of AP the card can take before KO.

Elements
It's not an RPG-Sytle Game or Card-Game without your basic elemental powers. Unlike YuGayHo(sorry to guys who like the game), these elements actually have an effect during combat. If a combatent has a weakness to a certain type, they take +10 damage. If a Combatent has resistance to that type, they take half the damage rounded to the nearest 10.

Example-
Monster 1 (VENOM type) attacks monster 2(DARK) dark has a weakness to venom, and takes an extra 10 damage from the attack.

List of Elements: (Resistant to..-TYPE-Weak to...)
Pyro-Aqua-Wind-Gaia-Pyro(repeat)
Dark-Light-Venom-Dark(repeat)

Card Burning:
In order to play certain cards, other cards must be "Burnt" off from your hand or field. To Burn means to Discard. You can tell how many cards must be Burnt to play a card by the # of stars in front of the card's name.

Out of Cards?
Don't worry if you run out of cards to draw. When your turn begins, and you cannot draw because of no more cards in your deck, you have 2 options: Surrender, or Re-Shuffle your Discard into a new deck. However, you can only use this option ONCE PER GAME. If you run out of a deck TWICE, you automatically LOSE.

Ok, now that I have basic rules, it's time for people to sign up. state your duelist ID name, and pick one of these decks:

Comic Deck- Based on comics like Calvin and Hobbes, Beetle Bailey, Peanuts, etc.. occasionally Anime Characters like Yusuke Yurimeshi(sp?)

Final Fantasy Deck- Cards based on the FF games, FF heroes and FFT classes

Nintendo Deck-Mario, Kirby, Fox McCloud, DK, the whole gang

Random Deck- a bunch of random cards

NC Deck- Characters from Neglected Mario Charatcers

Just a side note: Maybe there should be a VGF Deck that has members as cards. Heh...

*Mario- PYRO- N/E- 20/30
*Peach- HOLY- Bros. Protect- 10/20
*Kirby- WIND- Power Copy- 0/10
*Falco Lombardi- WIND- N/E- 20/20
*Koopa Troopa- GAIA- Defensive Shell- 10/40
*Mushroom- SPELL- Your activate combatent gains +10 AP for one turn.
*Warp Star- SPELL- Dodge one attack from your opponent's Combatent.
*Mario's Fireball- SPELL- Your opponent loses one Heart Point instantly. Only one "Mario's Fireball" can be placed in a deck.
*1-UP!- SPELL- Revive one KO'd Combatent, then add to your hand. Only one "1-UP!" can be placed in a deck.
*Arwing Laser- SPELL- select one opponent's Combatent on the field. This card does 10 damage to the selected Combatent.

Luigi007's Deck:
*Bomb- PYRO- Selfdestruct- 10/10
*Red Chocobo- WIND- Chocobuckle- 20/20
*Tifa Lockheart- GAIA- N/E- 30/20
*Chemist- AQUA- Item Toss- 0/20
*Molbol- VENOM- Moldball Virus- 20/20
*Potion- SPELL- recover +10 HP to a Combatent of your choice.
*Stopping Spell- SPELL- Select one Combatent. That Combatent cannot attack until 2 turns after this spell's activation.
*Pheonix Down- SPELL- Revives a KO'd Combatent of either player's deck with 10 HP. That card is then played onto your side of the field.
*Materia Jammer- SPELL- Disables the activation of a SPELL Card and negates the effect.
*Mythril Bangle- SPELL- Reduces an attack by 20 points.

Ok, I'm starting the duels...NOW! You can now face someone, or even trade cards. This also goes the same for new players.

Lastly, to challenge me, you need at least 1 extra card (more are gained from winning duels, getting booster packs, and occasionally for no good reason). If you win, you will recieve a RARE CARD! Lose, and I take one card away from you.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
