Every Australian I know is both aware of the expression, but can't seem to think of a single instance where it has ever been uttered. Shrimp aren't even called that, and all I've ever heard is barbeque, rather than barbie. I should look up the origin sometime, it's probably something from some American film. Also, who the hell barbeques shrimp?
Okay, actually looked it up. Apparently it's from an American commercial for tourism in Australia:
Shrimp on the barbie - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying

"Shrimp" is obviously American slang for doll clothes.

Hehe, I can't wait for all of you to see it so we can talk about it! The worst part about seeing it last week is just waiting to jibjab about it! Eeek! Also, I love your favorite parts too, Hottie! Mine was
how Banner and Stark got along. Their relationship was the best. The dialogue was so great! RDJ is the best at acting out Stark. Everything he says makes me laugh.
Also, Phil...ugh. So sad.
Also, I think they took people's suggestions about Black Widow because she was MUCH more tolerable than in Iron Man 2. I wish Hawkeye was in it more.
Overall, great film!! I made a plan about what I would do if I peed myself because I had to go pee for about 3/4 of the movie. Ugh.
I totally agree about Ironman!! He's awesome!!
What was the plan? Tip your coke/drink over you? I hate having to wait until the credits are done before I can run to the loo!!!
Haha the ad at the top of the page is for this movie... ;)

Just saw it. Gonna put this whole post in spoiler tags just... in case.
Definitely my best movie experience in quite a while. I wondered how they could possibly handle all the characters in the movie and make them all interesting and fun to watch, but they did it, and they did it well. Unexepectedly, the Hulk was my favorite of all of them, Hawkeye was pretty badass too.
My favorite parts:
Bruce saying "I'm always angry" before turning into the Hulk. So awesome.
Of course, the Hulk smashing Loki scene. I've never heard an audience laugh and cheer so much at a movie before.
The scene after the credits. XD
All in all, very worth the wait, and well done.

Oh, man, this was so great. The whole audience was laughing and clapping, it was really well-paced and everyone was well-written.
So was that Thanos or a Skrull at the end, after the credits? I didn't get the schwarma one. I think it was Thanos.
Holy crap. This movie was absolutely incredible. I was absolutely shocked and impressed at the way Joss handled such a humongous group of leads. There was also a wonderful amount of humor in the movie, and the plot was executed beautifully.
so good
Yeah, it was Thanos at the end. But now I have to ask, is an Infinity Gauntlet movie soon to come?
^ I would think so, or something involving it, at least.
It's probably going to be hinted at or something like that in the next wave of Marvel movies, then we'll get The Avengers 2.
Superhero movies are REALLY not my shtick, but nevertheless I really enjoyed this. The characters and the humor were both excellently done. The action was fine I suppose, I got bored but that's just because I'm a you've-seen-one-action-movie-you've-seen-them-all kind of person, but as a movie I really liked it and it was excellent.
Just.. the dialogue. So great.
