In theaters May 4, 2012 state side.

So yeah, nerdgasms aside, I know alot of people have been waiting for this project to finally come about, particularly after the hype and secret after the credits scenes of other Marvel movies.

What are your thoughts on this? What are your expectations? Will it live up to it's hype?

Going. Midnight. Costume. Joss Whedon. Yeah. :)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Super team-ups don't do it for me, for two reasons. A) As far as I'm concerned, a hero is at his best in his native continuity, where he's an actual character and not just a logo. B) Diminishing returns---the more people you cram into frame, the less special and indispensable each becomes.

^Me too, although Avengers at least has always seemed better thought-out than Superfriends or Justice League.

since this is a joss whedon movie, i know exacatly what to expect:

Thor and Iron Man will die (the announcement of sequels for their individual franchises is just to throw you off), Bruce Banner and Black Widow get into a relationship but it eventually completely falls apart even though they still love each other and then the two of them will never be truly happy ever again, and Loki is only defeated after basically annihilating the population of the United States. Also, Neil Patrick Harris will appear somewhere towards the middle of the film and perform a song-and-dance routine.

Also, nothing to do with the quality of the movie, but what in the hell is the soundtrack? Papa Roach, Evanescence, Bush, and Black Veil Brides? Wow.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

AWESOME!!!!! I just returned home from seeing The Avengers!!!!!

What I loved:
AIRSHIP!!! Green man!!! The humour, the action (didn't even scare me... hahaha) and the story!!! Hawkeye... MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm Angry Green Man hitting Thor unexpectedly after taking out aliens together. You ahve to see it to know what I am talking about...

Paraphrased:

I'm a god!!

Hulk *smash-smash-smash-smash* Puny God.

SERIOUSLY... ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!!
What I didn't like:
Phil dying. :(
To sum this up in one question; will I see this again?

HELL YEAH!!!!!

She lives in the clouds and talks to the birds...

Happiest faerie of VGF.

^^Why? Hottie properly spoiler-tagged everything. UN saw it in Korea already, & she didn't put up any spoilers. No one has spilled anything beyond "it's really good." Your rage is unfounded.

It's okay, SK, it's nothing personal that we get the film first. Marvel just decided that we would get an early release because we're better than you, that's all.

Okay, well maybe that doesn't sound so good, but the truth of the matter is that Australians take a long time to get to the theater, because their kangaroos jump too slowly to carry them to the theater or the nearest steam locomotive headed in that direction. On top of that, most of them will have to rearrange their already-tight schedules of wrestling crocodiles and fighting off the dingo hordes before they can even consider making the trip.

I am super excited for this movie! I WANT to see it opening night, but I've done that once, and got front row seats. Like, neck-breaking front row seat.

^ that's why you gotta go early. I've gone to multiple midnight shows and I've always gone early enough that I got really good seats. And if the theater is popular enough there might be a midnight showing followed by a few other showings which you can get better seats for the price of waiting 5-10 extra minutes.

Though TBH sometimes while the seats are good, midnight showings can have crowds with just incredibly annoying people that makes the movie experience lesser (*cough*HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallowsPartTwo*cough*)
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes
