How do you discover movies you're interested in?

...scattershot, really. I follow certain directors, production companies and genres; I listen to recommendations from a select few critics and (more importantly perhaps) people who know me; and I spend lots of time in stores just pawing through DVD racks like a galoot. I guess it isn't the most well-rounded approach, but it works for me.

The net makes it easy enough to catch new ones by word of mouth, and I am usually willing to watch trailers. There are a very few amount of directors or studios that I trust consistently, and there are quite a few on a sort of blacklist of ****makers that I wouldn't ever watch again (Bay, for example. Transformers 2 was inexcusably unwatchable. Same applies to Star Wars crap, after Episode 2 I'm not wasting another minute of my life on any new films in the series.)
