Auron wrote:Now I'm cringing at the amount of product placement he's also going to litter into the film like he does with everything else he makes. This movie is going to be terrible. Ninja turtles aliens from space surrounded by copious amounts of explosions, completely inaudible sound, and disgustingly blatant advertising for 120 minutes.

Do not want.
Not to mention over reliance on the boobs of whoever plays April.

Oh man, if he kept to the origin story we could have had Shia Labeouf play the kid who drops his turtles in the sewer. He'd be all, "oh no no no no those were my girlfriend's turtles". And then his girlfriend could be actually Shredder. What a waste.

The true litmus test to whether or not this can live up to the original is how much Vanilla Ice it has.

^Vanilla Ice isn't in the original; he's in Secret of the Ooze.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

It's sorta like meditating.

Honestly, if there was a notable difference between mutants and aliens, this would make sense.

But they're pretty similar, which is why the change seems stupid and forced.

Then what happens is that the brain-jar villian is a sewer mutant!

Even if the idea wasn't stupid, it's still a TMNT movie produced by Michael Bay and directed by the guy who did Battle: Los Angeles and Wrath of the Titans.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

^TGWTG is generally pretty sharp, but I honestly don't know what the hell he's on about there. "I've accepted it's going to be horrible, and so I'm wild with enthusiasm to see just how horrible it's going to be"---bizarro moon-man thinking.

^I dunno, I understand the mentality. It's like the "Bring It On" scale that Panfan and I made up one day.

Bring It On 1: So bad it's good
Bring It On 2: So bad it's bad
Bring It On 3: So bad it's hilarious
Brint It On 4: So bad it's the worst thing you've ever seen

For example, The Room ranks in around Bring It On 3. However, Human Centipede is a solid Bring It On 4.

I'll borrow it from the library or something, but Bay isn't getting my money.
