Hey guys! It's the obligatory "Favorite Movies" topic!
This is a thread where you post a list of some of your favorite movies! If you're really ambitious, post a link to the trailer!
That was a very obvious statement!
Some of mine include:
Chungking Express (my de facto favorite film for nearly five years now. I have yet to come across another film I adore quite as much.)
Ugetsu
Magnolia
Peking Opera Blues (my favorite "commercial" film. A lot of fun.)
The 400 Blows
The Host (Works well as a tense monster movie, biting social satire, and moving family drama.)
Apocalypse Now (A lot of people dislike the ending of this film, but I'm not really bothered at all by it.)
Goodfellas
Trainspotting (My favorite dialogue-driven film.)
Love Exposure (not posting a link to this trailer due to some mildly-explicit images. Believe me, you should really watch this movie. Track down the trailer, but don't watch the English-subtitled version. Gives away too much of the plot.)
Playtime (You will literally observe the world around differently for the rest of the day after you watch this movie)
Linda Linda Linda (Proof that you can't really judge a movie by its plot description)
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Tokyo Story
Pulp Fiction
The Godfather
Taxi Driver
Raging Bull
Citizen Kane (Not just saying that for cred. It really is a spectacular film.)
What Time is it There?
Days of Being Wild
Once Upon a Time in China II
Hard Boiled (seriously the best "shoot 'em up" action movie of all time. Was the inspiration for the video game Stranglehold.)
In the Mood for Love (ranked by review aggregate They Shoot Pictures, Don't They as the most critically acclaimed film of the 21st century so far.)
Seven Samurai
Also, I can't forget my #1 Super Guilty Pleasure:
The Twins Effect

So many to chose from, and my list always changes, but among my favorites are:
Jurassic Park
2001: A Space Odyssey
Terminator 2
Memento
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
12 Angry Men (the trailer's not all that great, but heck, the entire movie itself is on Youtube, so I'll just link to that)
Pretty much all the Pixar movies (except Cars 2, I haven't seen it yet...)
The Matrix
Cast Away
Saving Private Ryan
Zombieland
How to Train Your Dragon
