Despite a few suspensions of disbelief, I felt Chronicle was a very memorable and unique movie and it told its story very well.

However, I only know one other person that said it was any good. I loved it.

What does VGF think?

I found the previews to be very dull and predictable. Guys get random powers, start having fun with them, start abusing them, fight amongst each other.

Meh. Not in a hurry to see it.

I for one loved it.
The buildup of Andrew going "dark" and essentially becoming the villain was great, he kinda reminded me of Tetsuo from Akira in a way. I think those are the scariest type of villains, the tormented ones who can't control their power or emotions, and decide to lash back. I especially liked the car crushing scene, and the part where he grabs his father's arm and blows out the hospital wall.
Also, I liked what they did with the found footage concept, and the loopholes/tricks they used make it cinematic despite the entire movie always being shown through the POV of a camera. It made the movie feel very realistic and believable, yet still exciting enough to be a superhero film.

Two thumbs up from me, go see it.

I first saw the trailer after watching Akira so... yeah. The kid reminded me of Tetsuo.

I've actually heard good things about it, so I might eventually check it out when it hits home video.

I'm really not big on the found footage genre, but since there's gonna be a movie lull for a few months still I might check this one out.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes
