is "reason for leaving TARDIS" seriously your measurement of how good a companion is

I've got to be honest, excluding Amy, Rory and River, I've got to agree that Martha is probably the best of the companions. Not that that's saying much, as Rose was a Mary Sue, and Donna was as I've said previously terminally unfunny and irritating. By virtue of being merely forgettable, Martha was the best of the three companions. Sure she was probably supposed to seem like a more active and intelligent character; but I'd honestly forgotten about her, whereas the other two always manage to find some way to irritate me.

If irritating is being willing to call The Doctor out on his bull**** then okay

Well, I personnally liked the Christmas episode. But I've read a few peoples status on Facebook saying they hated it, and it was too hard to follow. (Which is silly, it's been one of Steven's easiest to follow storyline, since he's taken over as head writer).

Also that same person said that Steven hasn't had an original idea ever. But I spoke up against that. He's had loads of excellent stories in the past. It's just series that he struggles with.

Anyway, I'm off to my Hammock. Hammocks are cool. Just gonna get a glass of Lemonade out the tap first.

Too hard to follow? Did I miss something?
Late 1930s: Doctor blows up a ship attacking Earth, falls to surface in protective spacesuit, is found & helped to the TARDIS by Madge.

Three years later: Madge's husband's plane is lost at war. She gets the telegram, but doesn't tell the kids because it's Christmastime. They are evacuated to Old Uncle Whatshisname's house during the London bombing. The normal caretaker is absent, replaced by Doctor Caretaker "Get Off This Planet", who heard Madge's wish (more or less).

Doctor got the kids a boxed portal to Harmless Magical Christmas Forest Planet as a gift, completely unaware of the loggers coming to burn it down. Cyril opens the box early, accidentally hatches an ornament, & then follows the tree-man that grows from inside. Doctor & Lily play catchup, because Magical Forest has the exact same time-compression as Narnia, hence the episode title. Madge follows later, unsure where anyone else is; all 4 sets of footprints she could've followed have blown away.

Doctor & Lily find Tree Tower, & they determine its function (person trap), but not its purpose (save the forest). Sonic is useless 'cause everything's wooden. Madge finds the loggers & cries herself into a power position. Doctor & Lily reach Cyril, who has been crowned, but can't carry the tree souls, which the Doctor realizes is the point of all this. Doctor is mentally strong enough to handle the souls, but that's not what the trees meant by "strong". Lily is "strong" enough, but too young.

Logging crew gets an audio scan on kids & Doctor, but they teleport away as the acid rain starts, so Madge takes their mech to Tree Tower. Madge is both old enough & "strong" (female) enough, & takes the tree souls. The dome of Tree Tower then launches into the Time Vortex to escape the acid rain, steered telepathically by Madge, as the forest-bearer. A veteran of Vortex travel, the Doctor instructs Madge on how to steer, which includes focusing on strong thoughts of home. Madge's strongest thought is her husband; unfortunately, that includes thoughts of the telegram, which are then broadcast for her kids to see as they make the last leg of the trip.

Treedome lands outside of Old Uncle Whocare's house. The tree souls have survived the journey & transformed into pure energy in our universe. As the Doctor steps outside to let Madge break the news to her kids, he sees the plane & goes back to interrupt her. Hubby saw the light of Treedome passing by & followed it into the Time Vortex, landing at the house with them. For possibly the first time since The Empty Child, everybody lives.

Madge talks the Doctor into spending Christmas with Amy & Rory. Squirt guns & happy tears ensue.
I mean, seriously, "The Girl Who Waited" was harder to follow than that.

*saves image*

Say, question from something that I heard through the grapevine, is there any viable proof that Benedict Cumberbatch is going to play as The Master, AND that The Master is going to be in the series again?

Yeah, despite all that, people are saying so. <___>

*rolls eyes* I mean it's not like The Master managed to BS his way out of every other death he had. I was hoping for another appearance by The Rani, but nooo, we have copyright issues...

I'd like to meet the Corsair, but nooooo, we don't get to hear of him until after he's been butchered to death.
