^^ Do I need to explain why the smell of excrement is unpleasant?

IT JUST IS. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT JUST IS.

INVALID RESPONSE

Maybe we're just biased from nostalgia or something.

dunno why i just feel very strongly about this specific show, and my feelings are bad

"Stupid tween dumbasses doing stupid tween dumbass **** that you're supposed to laugh at: the series"

please explain the appeal, i cant quite find it amongst all of the unlikeability

--

ok, despite the sarcasm and contempt that my post is very clearly drenched and drowning in, I am actually interested in an explanation regarding the appeal of this show. Because I have never seen it.

Seen a large quantity of the show?

No, I couldn't sit through more than a few episodes.

Seen the show when it was on before a show I liked, and enough to know that I really, really do not like it?

Check.

Are we talking about the same show?

The excellence of of Ed, Edd n Eddy comes from its surrealism, slapstick, word play, and getting-crap-past-the-radarism. Some of the earlier episodes were kind of lame, but after that it really takes off. There's a reason it was CN's longest-running show.

So poo-poo to you.

Maybe I just happened to catch only the lame early episodes, because what I saw of that show made me refuse to click on its name ever again because I hated it with such a fiery, deep passion.

Could be that its sense of humor and mine just do NOT work well together. Watching the show actually made me angry, it was so bad.

I suppose I just lack the refined taste to appreciate its quality. Or whatever.

Poo-poo to YOU, sir, because you're the one who LIKES this piece of poo-poo. so there nyeeeeeeeh

Anime

Best: Best? Too hard to choose! I can list a few I really like though: Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Outlaw Star, DBZ (for some reason), Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakusho, Full Metal Alchemist, Nabari no Ou, and Princess Tutu

There are others that I've REALLY enjoyed, but it'd be tedious to put them up here. [strike]Like Azumanga Daioh.[/strike] [strike]And Bokurano.[/strike] [size=-2][strike]Ok I'm done.[/strike][/size]

Worst: If I don't like an anime I never watch more than an episode or two of it at most. So, I can't really come up with my least favorite anime EVER. [strike]That means that if there's a good anime out there where the first two episodes suck for some reason, I'm probably not gonna get into it.[/strike]

Weirdest: Bo-BoBo, Cromartie High School, and Yakitate!! Japan (but I haven't seen much of this one)

Cartoons

Best: Hm. I really like Invader Zim. And Courage the Cowardly Dog. Adventure Time and MLP are awesome. Avatar seems cool, but I haven't finished it yet. Batman: The Animated Series is amazing too. I bought the box set two years ago for my BF.

Worst: I can't say really. Either I've gotten too old for cartoons, or most of the stuff on TV right now is ****.

Weirdest: Probably Ren and Stimpy. I loved that show, though.

Also, I watched and liked Ed, Edd, and Eddy at one point. Double D was my favorite. Oh and Rolf.

^ I'd say it's more likely most of the stuff today is **** than you getting too old for cartoons. It's true that some of the stuff I used to like is definitely ****, upon re-watching, but there's still gems both old and new that I can appreciate now that I'm older.

It's probably easier to get away with making crap if its intended audience is too young to get jokes anyway :{P

i dunno, i'd say the spread of good cartoons is still fairly consistent. regular show, adventure time, mlp, some of the more recent stuff that isnt being made new anymore like chowder too

In a terribly-worded way that's more or less what I meant. There are old shows that I like and new shows that I like, but also old shows that I now realize are terrible and good shows that I know are terrible. The good-to-bad ratio is more or less consistent, I am just now realizing that now that I understand that a lot of what I used to like is just as crap as a lot of stuff I hate now.

I just feel like, in both timespans, there is more bad than good because they can get away with it since kids will watch pretty much anything. I agree with you though

Coming from the girl who actually likes "How To Train Your Dragon", it's kinda obvious

Yes, clearly. The girl who loves the greatest thing ever would obviously have the taste to hate the worst thing ever.
